It is standard for the new EA Sports FC to drop in the fall after the opening transfer window of the season closes for European leagues around the world. This allows developers to let the windows play out and finalize the rosters for most of the biggest clubs in the world before releasing the game, while still getting the game in the hands of gamers near the beginning of the campaign.
This year, that means that EA Sports FC 27 will release on September 24. The game is scheduled for a worldwide release, unlocking on all consoles and PCs around the world at the same time, and being available in retail at the same time.
It will also be available for play across a broad range of consoles, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Amazon Luna, and on PC. The PC release can be purchased across major digital storefronts, with EA App, Steam, and Epic Launcher all being available purchase options.
Will EA FC 27 Have Early Access?
As with other games in the EA Sports FC series, EA Sports 27 is expected to have an early access period for gamers who choose to do so. To access the game early, players must invest in the Ultimate Edition, priced at $99.99 last year, which will provide the ability to play early. This has traditionally been a one-week access period.
Gamers could also access previous editions if they had access to EA Play. A basic membership arrives with a 10-hour playtime limit, while gamers with EA Play Pro can play for an unlimited amount of time. Confirmed dates and structure for the early access period are not yet fully confirmed, but prior editions have served as a reliable precedent in the past.
