UFC's Bryce Mitchell Once Backed Donald Trump As One Of His Biggest Supporters. Now He’s Calling Him The 'Antichrist'

Bryce Mitchell has never been shy about speaking his mind, both inside and outside the octagon. But this week, he sparked headlines for an unexpected reason. The fighter who once said he would “take a bullet” for former President Donald Trump now says he believes Trump has become “corrupted,” even going as far as calling him the “anti-Christ.”

Mitchell revealed the shift in an Instagram video posted earlier this week, speaking directly to his followers. He said it took him time to come to terms with his feelings and even longer to publicly acknowledge them. For a fighter known for his conviction, the reversal is a major moment, especially considering how vocal he was about supporting Trump over the past few years.

Mitchell Quoted Revelation 13:3, Comparing Trump To The Biblical “Beast”

Mitchell explained that the breaking point for him was the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, which he says Trump failed to release. That, combined with U.S. tax dollars being sent overseas, triggered what he described as a deeper realization.

In his own words, Mitchell said, “Hey, I want to let y’all know that now I’m not with Donald Trump no more. I don’t support him. I think he’s a corrupted leader… He talked a good game. He tricked me. I was fooled. I admit it.”

From there, Mitchell began framing his disillusionment through his Christian faith. He asked his followers to read Revelation 13:3, a verse describing a “beast” who survives a fatal wound and gains global admiration. Mitchell said the loyalty and attention Trump commands made him rethink everything.

“If you’re a Christian, I want you to get into Revelation 13:3 and read that verse. About one who was fatally wounded in the head, then miraculously healed, and the whole world marveled at him. No man could make war with him. I do think Donald Trump is that beast.”

Mitchell emphasized he isn’t claiming to know Trump is the Antichrist, but he believes Trump fits the description more closely than anyone else today. And for him, that was enough to walk away.

The Fighter’s Sudden Reversal Comes After Years Of Publicly Supporting Trump

Mitchell attended Trump’s 2021 inauguration and repeatedly praised him in interviews, podcasts, and social media posts. He cast Trump as a strong leader who represented “real America” and values that Mitchell believed in. So when a supporter this loyal makes a 180-degree turn, it raises questions, not just about politics, but identity.

This isn’t just a fighter switching opinions. It’s a man saying he feels betrayed by someone he once idolized.

Some fans online are calling the shift honest and brave, arguing Mitchell is staying true to his principles. Others believe he has fallen further into conspiracy thinking. And some simply can’t believe how quickly the relationship collapsed.

Bryce Mitchell is no longer the fighter who would “take a bullet” for Donald Trump. Instead, he’s publicly distancing himself and urging others to question the leaders they align with. Whether his conclusion is accepted, rejected, or debated, Mitchell has made one thing clear: his beliefs have shifted, and he’s choosing to stand on the conviction he holds now rather than the loyalty he once had.
