Since these comments came to light, Nicole has been facing a lot of hate comments thrown back at her. The backlash from this situation was so strong that the former ESPN analyst deactivated her account on X.

The famous social media personality has now finally decided to speak up on the topic. She posted an Instagram story addressing the situation head-on and apologized for her past words. Kelce’s ex stated that she’s not the same woman she used to be back then.

I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for the hurtful tweets I posted so many years ago,” Nicole wrote. “Seeing them resurface last week has been incredibly difficult, and reading them now, I’m ashamed that I ever thought or spoke that way. They were ignorant, hurtful, and completely wrong. The woman I am today would never use those words or express those kinds of views.”

Nicole Took Full Responsibility

Kayla Nicole’s past tweets came as quite a shock to many of her fans. The people are disappointed to see her behaviour from the past, and it seems that she’s ashamed as well.

Some of her tweets made fun of an Indian girl praying, and she also mocked stereotypes of other black women. One of these tweets even targeted Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, in an extremely offensive tweet. One of her tweets had homophobic remarks, as well as she mentioned being uncomfortable with the idea of a gay child.

Travis Kelce’s ex has now taken full responsibility for her past behaviour. She stated that she had deleted her account to escape the negativity and hate.

“I refuse to keep that energy alive or contribute to a cycle of hate,” she added. “I take full responsibility for what I posted, and I’m truly sorry to anyone I may have hurt. My heart, values, and perspective are completely rooted in empathy, love, and respect for others.”
