Tom Brady spent nearly two decades with his former team, the New England Patriots. The team was unable to replicate his Playoffs magic until the 2025-2026 season with Drake Maye. One would expect Brady to root for the Patriots owing to his past connection with the team, but he couldn’t care less. According to Sportskeeda, Brady wants to be unbiased about the Super Bowl 60.
On the latest episode of Let’s Go! podcast, Brady said, “I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one. May the best team win…I just wanna see good football. I wanna see good plays, good throws, good strategy, good decisions.” Considering the fact that the Patriots built a statue in his honor, they would’ve expected Brady to root for them regardless of his love for an unbiased game. Their expectations might be ruined, but at least they had some support from him about their game.
And in terms of the Patriots, this is a new chapter in New England, and I’m glad everyone’s embraced the Mike Vrabel regime, all the amazing players that have worked so hard to get their club to this position. We did it for 20 years. There was a little bit of a hiatus in there, but the Patriots are back, and it’s a very exciting time for everyone in New England.
The Fans Decided To Remind Him Of His Roots Without Holding Back
As soon as he said those words, it was as if the fandom united against him in one go. One of the fans directly attacked the Patriots for erecting a statue in his name. “Take the statue down asap…” Similar sentiments echoed among others, “He is a disloyal egomaniac.”
Another fan blamed him for being selfish and not caring about the team spirit, “Brady is and always had been about Brady. Never the team or teammates.” He was also accused of jinxing the team, “He doesn’t want the patriots to have success without him! Narcissistic a*****.”
The drama around Brady’s opinions continues his recent streak of online criticism. Although his lack of opinion about the Patriots is less of a personal and more of a professional. Now that he is the owner of the Raiders, Tom Brady is eyeing Klint Kubiak for the Raiders’ head coach. He doesn’t want his favorite prospect to lose in the Super Bowl, just to appease his former team.
