Former quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders, Tom Brady, was recently spotted in the team’s booth during Monday Night Football. The Raiders took the center stage as they opened their 2025 home schedule on Monday.
The Raiders hosted their AFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers, in the final game of week 2. Both teams were coming off a 1-0 record in the match and faced off for the first position in the division. The game also featured a coaching duel between Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll, who are considered legends of this sport. Another name present there was the legendary Tom Brady.
In the early stages of the game, the veteran was present at the Raiders’ booth. Brady, who is also now a minority owner of the franchise, was working alongside offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and shared his expertise in shaping the game plan. The NFL also shared a video of Brady from the press box, where he’s seen playing his part in the game.
Brady Is Currently A Lead Commentator
Despite his involvement with the Raiders behind the scenes, Brady continues to serve as the lead commentator for Fox Sports. He began his career as a commentator in 2024.
During the 2024 NFL season, Brady started as the lead analyst for Fox Sports. He worked alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. The veteran inked a massive 10-year deal with Fox, reportedly worth $375 million. Brady’s debut in commentary came at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns game on September 8, 2024.
There have also been some questions about whether Brady could continue as a commentator due to his involvement with the Raiders. His agent has confirmed that Brady intends to honor his full contract with Fox Sports.
The NFL Legend Might Have To Say Goodbye To One Of His Roles
Many have raised questions about how long the NFL will allow Brady to do commentary as well as fulfill his roles for the Raiders. The league rules restrict dual involvement, which means Brady cannot attend in-person production meetings, visit team facilities, or have direct access to coaches and players for the games he covers for Fox Sports.
Brady’s minority ownership in the Las Vegas Raiders led to him facing these restrictions regarding team practices and production meetings. However, the NFL later lifted some of these restrictions, which allowed Brady to attend virtual production meetings, but he cannot publicly criticize officials or other teams.
The veteran’s love for the game pushes him to fulfill all of these duties. His passion for the NFL is boundless. He’s aware of the legacy he’s left behind on the field.
