Three New Stadiums are Included in FIFA 18, Including LA Galaxy's Stubhub Center

The folks at Gamesradar confirm there are at least three new stadiums included in FIFA 18, including an American stadium.

In a sizeable exclusive for fans obsessed with minor details, GamesRadar+ can confirm three new stadia for FIFA 18. LA Galaxy’s Stubhub Center, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Amex Stadium, and Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium all join the line-up of real-life grounds for this year’s game.

The inclusion of the two English stadiums are far from a surprise since EA wants to have a fully authentic Premiere League experience, but the new American stadium is a welcome addition for MLS fans stateside. The stadiums from relegated Premiere League squads are also still in the game this year.

Portland & Orlando way more deserving. LA has a rather boring family friendly atmosphere.

It was probably added due to it being added in Madden for San Diego.

I agree that other MLS teams are deserving of getting their stadium in FIFA (especially Portland), but that doesn't mean Galaxy isn't. Five-time champs and the most globally recognized team in MLS has to count for something.
And I respectfully disagree about the atmosphere. Boring? No. Family friendly? Sure, but what's wrong with that?

They are one of the great club in the states. Doesn't change the fact that the atmosphere in LA is dull.
Globally recognized, eh. There is no one who doesn't know football that knows who LA Galaxy are. If they know football, they know quite a few clubs from MLS.
its regional as well, where as most football fans from Italy are aware of NYCFC because of Pirlo, most people in Brazil know Orlando City because of Kaka, The Brithish isles & Galaxy for players like Keane & Beckham. Even bastian schweinsteiger in Chicago now.
No one in Indonesia, Italy, South Africa etc. who doesn't watch football, if you say "do you know who LA Galaxy are?" are saying yes. If you say you know who Manchester United are? Barcelona? Real Madrid?" they're saying "ah yes i've heard of them." So you saying they're the most globally recognized team doesn't mean much or why they deserve a stadium in FIFA. Its only in because of Madden.
& from the only actual study I found with any thought to it, has Seattle as by far the most searched team on the internet. Another just went off Social Media, and NYCFC is #1 there.

Oh, I get that. But if that is the case, it's the same reason the Sounders' stadium is in. I'm not saying Seattle isn't deserved because it totally is, I even said so a few years back when they added it.
And if that's the sole reason that the LA and Seattle stadiums are in, why do they not include Gillette Stadium for the Revolution? Could it be that they are a lower profile team and therefore not on the FIFA devs' radar? (Sorry Revs fans, just making a point here.)

Are we basing this off of TV viewing or live attendance? Just curious.
I was at the Sounders vs. Orlando City match in Seattle last week. The atmosphere was incredible, probably one of the best live sporting events I've ever been to. Does the Galaxy matchday environment rival that? Honestly, no. But at the same time, I've never been to a Galaxy match that I would describe as "boring" or "dull". LA sports crowds are generally more reserved than other areas of the country to begin with (unless it's the Lakers), but sitting in the Angel City Brigade or LA Riot Squad sections is always a good time, plenty of loud support there.
With all due respect, there are 40-50 clubs that should have their own stadium before considering MLS!. It's a league that's simply not very interesting if you're from europe, it has a status of x stars that retire league. As a football nation is US one Lilliputian, but treats equally. How about showing the Italian and Dutch Portuguese Belgian etc league respect as they deserve, By giving these clubs some stadium !.
The MLS has the seventh highest average attendance in the world. Higher than the Ligue 1 and the Dutch League. With the Timbers at the top of the MLS in average attendance.

Timbers are not on top. Atlanta United is on top averaging 46,318 while the Timbers are averaging 21,144

Madden is the only reason why StubHub is in. They switched to the Frostbite engine and it was an easy port over to FIFA

I wonder why Gillette Stadium isn't in the game.

Or Mercedes Benz Stadium for that matter. Obviously, EA didn't just put StubHub Center in FIFA because of the NFL team. I'm guessing a lot more of it has to do with Journey 2.

It's not about how many people come to the matches, of course, US has a lot of advantage with their residents, and yes, the Americans like football (soccer) now !. No, it's about respect and traditions. It would correspond to overthrow the NFL stadium and gave it to a newly created League in Europe, respect for the European football tradition where the US is far from having built such a status.

I'm really surprised that more of an effort isn't made to get stadiums into the game. They made the push one year and included all Premier League stadia, I wonder why they don't try to get all of Spain, or even MLS since it's a domestic league and travel and data gathering are more logistically possible for the devs.
Even a few new generics would be nice.
PES is doing an amazing job including stadiums from all over the world, and this year we lose Signal Iduna because of exclusive partnership.

What's most surprising is that in Fifa17, EA got an exclusive deal with La Liga ala BPL. So where are stadiums ?. But already in 17 they would not comment on how many stadiums La Liga would get, so we already got the answer. It's a real wonder when they have exclusive license that they have not made these stadiums, either they are lazy or have the clubs something to have said about that - I think so. The reason we do not have Serie A / B is because Fifa is either too cheap or Serie A / B too greedy, they were close in 17. If you see Serie A and B, EA could as well pile it out and keep the big teams Under the world team, it's pathetic.

Apropos, a good example of a club that apparently has rights to their own stadium in EA, even though EA has an exclusive deal with the Bundesliga.

I don't think it's been confirmed that Signal Iduna will be removed from FIFA. I know PES has rights to Liverpool but Anfield is still in the game. If it is true that really sucks, that is one of my favorite stadiums. I really hate all this exclusive rights crap.

EA needs to do the right thing and just buy out PES and use their rights, stadiums and features. It would make it easier for us fans.

I thought I read somewhere that PES has the rights to the newly expanded Anfield & that EA cannot add the renovations.

You sure about that? I'm seeing multiple articles that have 'confirmed' Signal Iduna, and apparently it was in EA's official list that was shown to media.

Haven't seen those articles. Have only seen the opposite. I wouldn't call it 100%, but it seems like it and the Mestalla are out of FIFA 18.

Where are you seeing that it's gone? I see people speculating it is, from articles before EA supposedly gave an official list. I haven't seen this list and can't find it, but it seems like it was shown at EA Play or to media.
There's nothing official about any of those sources. EA doesn't release this info until right before release.
All of this stuff just takes last year's list and infers what they can from the trailer and later update it based on the beta—and this year Signal Iduna and Mestalla weren't from the beta. Camp Nou wasn't last year when they lost the license. These websites do stuff like this every year for clicks when they don't have any actual news or information.
It looks like this when everything is officially announced:
    https://www.easports.com/fifa/news/2016/fifa-17-stadiums
That's why I didn't bother posting any links because the other side are inferring based on past and present evidence. As I said, could turn out to be nothing, but it fits with what happened last year with Barcelona and the PES deal. From my perspective, I think it's more likely than not Dortmund and Valencia's stadia are out.
