The Next College Basketball Video Game Needs These Five Things
Following up on the top five college basketball games of all time, Matt is back once again to hit on five things the next college basketball game must have to succeed.
What is on your must-have list for the next college basketball game beyond, ya know, there being one that exists?
And, hey, if ya like our ish, then feel free to like and subscribe on YouTube as well so we can keep growing this thing.
the only must-haves I can think of are; they must create a new game. 2k8 was so deep, Id settle for the same game with updated graphics, playbooks and commentary.
Not sure "NCAA licensing" is needed. Player likeness - no big deal for me. 4 years into your legacy franchise none of the players are "real" - they are all generated. Remember this is college.
Women's basketball would be fine but private companies have to make a profit and I doubt that would happen with women's basketball. A clue would be the lower attendance and TV ratings.
Deep legacy mode.
Something similar to NCAA football's teambuilder.
Great gameplay.
Those would be my big 3.
I still own 2k8 hoops and it's the only basketball game I play.
2k8 is probably my most played sports game of all time if it isn't NFL 2k5, so I'd gladly take the same feature set it has now in Legacy Mode and not complain at all.
With how much 2k has improved in their atmosphere creating since 2k8, I can only imagine what an updated Choops game would be like today.
