Football Manager 26 has taken a big step and shifted to the new Unity engine, promising a game with a better match engine and deeper tactics. There have been many improvements made to the game, but there are a few things missing or not according to player preferences. Much like previous FM games, it’s mods to the rescue.
There is already a sizeable number of mods out for FM26, and they all solve different problems. Some raise the match speed, provide visual and graphical improvements, or even add a POV camera system. You can expect more mods to come from the community in the coming weeks, but here are some of the best Football Manager 26 mods so far.

Newgen R-Evolution Update Facepack
The character models in FM26 look very uncanny, which is something that has always been an issue for the series. This Newgen R-Evolution mod adds a total of 5,757 high-quality faces, and a majority of them are very high quality. It works with the NewGan manager tool, which is a mod tool for adding and customizing faces.
This one is compatible with other facepacks too, so you can mix and match if that’s your thing. Another interesting thing here is that while the base versions are AI-generated, the creator Napolitanos has individually photoshopped a majority of the generated faces for a more unique look. It also includes staff faces for men and women in the game.

FM26 Faster UI Patch: 250% Speed Up
One of the many complaints with Football Manager 26 is its slow and clunky UI. Fortunately, this mod by creator BassyBoy fixes the overall sluggishness. It does so by substituting the large default files with optimized versions to make load times faster.
This also gets rid of the slow transitions between menus, speeding them up by 200% to 250%. In our opinion, this is a highly essential mode that elevates the overall experience. It had a few bugs during the Beta phase, but it appears to be stable for now.

FM26 Match Speed Mod
This is one of the more practical mods available for FM26, returning control of the match speed back to you. It modifies match assets to unlock custom speed settings, which are usually restricted in the base game. This means you can now adjust how fast or slow matches play out according to your personal preference, without being limited by preset options. It’s ideal for players who want a consistent pacing throughout their career, solving the long-standing issue of matches feeling either sluggish or unnaturally fast.

FM26 Mod: Faster Game Startup
If you’re tired of sitting through all the logos, license screens, and splash intros every time you start Football Manager 26, this mod is an absolute must-have. FM26 Camera Mod by Exius
If you want to make your matches feel more cinematic and immersive, this mode by Exius focuses on exactly that. It adds adjustable height and zoom ranges for many cameras, and replaces the aerial camera with a free camera that you can move around. With this feature, you can watch games from different perspectives (dugout, technical area, stands, etc). It’s a simple tweak that adds a surprising amount of depth and realism to every match.

One of the most ambitious and visually striking community creations for Football Manager 26 is BassyBoy’s Stadium Megapack.
