Capcom has officially unveiled gameplay for its next Street Fighter 6 DLC fighter, Ingrid, offering players their first detailed look at the character ahead of her launch next month.
The new gameplay trailer shows Ingrid in action, highlighting her unique fighting style along with confirming her arrival on May 26, 2026. Ingrid will be the final addition to the game’s Year 3 DLC roster and will wrap up the long season.

Street Fighter 6’s Latest Character
Ingrid’s inclusion is notable to longtime fans, as she is one of the franchise’s more unconventional characters and has been requested for a while. Originally appearing in lesser-known titles, Ingrid’s return in Street Fighter 6 marks her first appearance in a mainline entry.
At first glance, Ingrid looks like a fast combo heavy fighter, like Chun Li. Her gameplay appears to lean heavily into mobility and close-to-mid-range combat, combining quick movements with flashy, energy-based attacks.
In SF6 terms, she is a heavy zoner, meaning she has many long-range specials and normals and can back off easily to maintain space. The trailer shows this by putting her against JP, which is one of the strongest zoners in the game, and she makes quick work of him.
We also get to see some of her signature abilities, including projectile-style moves and counter-based techniques that allow her to control space while staying aggressive. In fact, she is also the shortest and lightest character in the game, making her quite mobile.
Capcom did a good job on the character design, too. Visually, Ingrid stands out from the rest of the roster with a more mystical and otherworldly design. Capcom has leaned heavily into this identity, emphasizing her mysterious nature through the design.
In terms of lore, it’s quite limited, as she was never in the mainline Street Fighter series until now. But, from what we know, she is like this pure, mysterious, and powerful entity that fights against dark forces like Satsui No Hado. While Capcom has yet to reveal details about future content beyond Year 3, the steady rollout of characters and updates has helped maintain strong engagement within the fighting game community.
