Watched a stream earlier and noticed a few things.
The Good:
-Finally a volleyball game.
-Animation (motion capture) of attacks/serving are done nicely.
-Strategy on offense is pretty good as well - some options - could get better.
Areas of improvement - From watching a stream...
-Contact with the ball seems off - ball looks to be away from hitter, etc.
-Setting needs an overhaul - Too many times the setter is passing the ball - or diving while at the net - rarely you see that during a game.
-Blocking is off. From the movement of blockers, to too much triple blocking.
-Transition is terrible. Too many players get stuck at the net without moving once the ball is played by the defense. This leads to weird animations of players jumping from a standing position.
If they could...
-Overhaul blocking and defensive movement - and make it more strategic.
-Options for strategy on speed of offense - fast sets to high sets. If you see international volleyball - some teams play fast, others high and slow. This would be huge as it would then emphasize more on playing defense and blocking.
I think this has a ton of potential with some patches. They are doing a decent job replicating the game already just need to polish up a few of the animations and areas.
