‘She knocked out, and nobody says a word': Female fighter's training footage goes viral, and what she does to her sparring partner is shocking

It’s all about the timing.

UFC Bantamweight Jacqueline Cavalcanti shocked the combat sports world after a video showed her knocking out a much bigger male sparring partner with a brutal knee strike. The Brazilian-born Portuguese fighter proved she has serious power, even though she hasn’t finished any fights yet in the UFC.

According to Talksport, the 28-year-old is moving around the cage in the Instagram video with a man who looks much larger than her. They were practicing specific training drills, but the power she showed was completely real. Cavalcanti threw a quick jab and a lead hook, then landed a vicious knee strike right as her partner tried to take her down.

That perfectly timed knee sent the man crashing to the floor, ending the session immediately. The sparring partner shook his head and put his hand up to show he was okay, but he was clearly hurt by the force. A coach standing nearby was shocked and had to ask her, “Is that real?” Cavalcanti simply replied, “Real.”

This knockout proves Cavalcanti has finishing power she hasn’t shown in the UFC yet

The knockout is a big deal because Cavalcanti is currently 5-0 in the UFC, but all those wins went to the judges’ scorecards. She hasn’t been able to finish any fights, which is what fighters really want. However, this footage shows she definitely has the power to knock opponents out. This is a serious weapon she can use as she moves up the rankings. If you’re fighting her next, this clip should make you think twice about walking into her strikes.

When the video dropped, it grabbed attention from the biggest names in MMA and got hundreds of thousands of views online. The combat sports world has seen female athletes make waves at major boxing events, with celebrities like Angel Reese making bold appearances at high-profile fights.

Dual-weight champion Alex Pereira was shocked by what he saw. He commented on the footage, pointing out the strange silence after such a powerful knockout: “She knocked out, and nobody says a word.”

Champion Conor McGregor also responded with approval, writing simply, “SHOT!” Jorge Masvidal, known for landing the most famous flying knee knockout in UFC history, also recognized her skill. He shared the video and posted a clapping emoji to show his respect.

Not everyone believed the knockout was real, though. UFC lightweight Nikolas Motta thought the whole thing was “a set up.” Cavalcanti, who has a 10-1 professional MMA record, quickly fired back at the criticism.

She challenged Motta to come train with her so she could prove the knockout was real. Female fighters have had to defend their credibility before, similar to how Ronda Rousey faced criticism from WWE veterans. Motta wisely didn’t accept the offer, which was probably smart after seeing that knee in action.

This viral moment has put the bantamweight division on notice. Cavalcanti is clearly ready to start finishing fights inside the Octagon.
