Several WWE Stars Pay Touching Tribute To Eddie Guerrero On The Anniversary Of His Passing. Their Messages Highlight Just How Deeply He’s Still Missed

It’s been 20 years since the wrestling world lost one of its biggest icons, Eddie Guerrero. The iconic star touched a lot of lives within WWE and outside of it as well. We could still feel his influence 20 years after his passing at the age of 38 years old.

Several WWE stars have decided to pay tribute to the lying, cheating, and stealing legend of the professional wrestling world. One of his closest friends, Rey Mysterio, penned him a heartwarming letter that could make you cry. Guerrero and Mysterio had been really close to each other, and the former’s loss affected the Masked icon greatly.

Mysterio shared a deep, lengthy letter on the Players’ Tribune on November 13. It was the day of his best friend’s 20th death anniversary, and he talked to him about his son, Dominik Mysterio. He shared that Eddie would’ve been proud to have seen ‘their’ son go from a babyface to one of the best heels on the roster. Even, Dominik even shared a tribute to the late icon over on his Instagram, sharing a photo of him from WrestleMania XX with the WWE Undisputed World Championship.

Dominik wasn’t fully clicking as ‘Rey Mysterio’s baby boy’ ……… so he did what I’m 100% sure you would’ve told him to do. He turned heel, and basically became ‘Eddie Guerrero’s demon boy.’ And that changed everything. When I say you would approve of who Dom has become, Eddie — it’s an understatement. You would love it,” Rey wrote.

Eddie Guerrero Passed Away In 2005

Eddie Guerrero is one of the most revered stars in WWE history. The former WWE Champion passed away at the age of 38 on November 13, 2005. 20 years have passed since his death, but fans and stars alike owe a lot of their memories to Latino Heat.

After the news of his passing broke in the WWE, a tribute was held to honor his memory. Many of his colleagues wept at the tragic news and are still recovering from the loss of their friend. CM Punk also paid tribute to Guerrero on his Instagram story with a heart emoji.
