Ohanian made an appearance on ESPN’s First Take on Thursday Morning. Everything had been going well until he finally took his chance to confront the analyst. Ohanian made his move right before the show went on a commercial break. He checked Smith for his prior comments about his partner at this year’s Super Bowl.
The sports talk show guest host had made some harsh remarks about Williams’ making an appearance at the Halftime show. Smith offered Ohanian some marriage advice, which was more of a jab at him. Ohanian seemingly remembered these words and chose to remind him that he’s the one advising billion-dollar companies.
“You hadn’t been married before, right?” he added. “Because I give advice to plenty of founders who want to build billion-dollar companies. And the reason I do that is because I build billion-dollar companies. So, I generally try to stay in my lane in the advice department.”

Serena Williams made a surprise cameo appearance at this year’s Super Bowl LIX Halftime show. She showed up during Kendrick Lamar’s performance of his popular diss track towards Drake ‘Not Like Us.’ The acclaimed tennis star was spotted performing a signature dance to the hit song.
This scene apparently sparked a debate on the same show earlier this year, and Stephen A. Smith had a lot to say about it. Shannon Sharpe first pointed out the rumors about Williams and Drake being involved in a relationship at one time. So, perhaps it was her moment to get back at him during the performance by dancing on a diss track aimed towards him.
Smith would then take his chance to put himself in Alexis Ohanian’s shoes to send a message. He stated that if he were married and saw his partner making fun of her ex, he would tell her to go back to him.
“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his ass. ‘Cause clearly you don’t belong with me,” Smith said at the time. “What you worried about him for, and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.”
