This segment focuses on the Echo System, a key part of the game that ties together both its story and racing mechanics. The Echo System revolves around two main resources: Sync and Entropy. Sync builds up either passively or through an Active Shift, a timed upshift that works alongside the car’s automatic transmission. Players can spend Sync to boost their speed or shield themselves from attacks, rewarding skillful timing with advantages in both racing and combat.

Using Sync generates Entropy, which powers two offensive moves: Strike and Overdrive. Strike is a short, powerful attack that can destroy opponents, while Overdrive puts the vehicle in a high-risk, high-reward state, increasing speed, shielding and the ability to knock out rivals. Overdrive, however, consumes all Entropy and leaves cars vulnerable if they crash, making careful timing essential.

Races in Screamer are designed to evolve dynamically with Sync and Entropy shaping how each lap unfolds. Differences in character abilities and vehicle handling create unique challenges, whether playing solo or online, where teamwork adds another layer to the experience.
