10 Rarest Rocket League Titles

These titles are worth more than gold.

Titles are the bragging rights in the video game industry. A fancy title instantly makes you stand out in the lobby. That said, few games hit them on the head like Rocket League. In fact, from competitive to exclusive one-time titles, Rocket League has a little something for everyone.

However, not all titles are created equal. Achievements like getting level 400 (for the Superstar title) or winning a Silver-ranked tournament just aren’t that impressive. But today, we’re talking about the opposite. Which titles are the rarest and most revered in Rocket League history?

Rarest Rocket League Titles

EST. 2015

Starting strong, we have the EST. 2015 title. If you’re a veteran RL player, you should know what this title signifies. 2015 was the year Rocket League officially launched, on July 7th, to be exact. That’s not all, though. Today, Rocket League is free-to-play, but it used to be paid back then. The EST. 2015 title represents all players who bought the game on launch and haven’t left since.

With Rocket League reaching its 10th anniversary, that is some serious dedication. And that is rightly commended through this rare and impressive title. The only downside is that the title does not glow, so compared to the newer titles, it’s a little underwhelming.

The Pigeon Man

  • Color: Cyan

A pigeon-themed title in a game about cars is pretty unusual, but that’s what player Johnz12321 got when he collected 1,000 pigeon toppers. This wasn’t some quest or highly-acclaimed prize. Pigeon toppers are an uncommon rarity collectible item earned after players level up. But seeing the dedication behind this feat, Psyonix decided to create this custom, honorary title.

This is a one-of-a-kind title and cannot be used on any other account. So, don’t start collecting low rarity collectibles, as Psyonix probably won’t make another one like this.

First Rocketeer

  • Color: Golden Glow

Remember how we mentioned getting to level 400 to unlock the Superstar title was no big deal? Well, it wasn’t always like that. Before the game became free-to-play in 2020, the ranking system was a bit different. It went up to level 75, at which point you got the Rocketeer achievement.

The First Rocketeer title is currently held by Stoney, an ex-pro player. As with The Pigeon Man, this is an honorary title and cannot be collected by any other account. Due to this rarity, Stoney forever etched his place in RL history with this achievement.

Developer/Moderator/Discord Legend

Every game has developers (obviously) and requires mods to moderate their socials. Psyonix chose to honour all their staff with special titles: developer, moderator, and Discord legend, according to their role in the organisation.

The Developer title is exclusively reserved for members of the Psyonix staff and has an aesthetic glow. Moderator is, as the name suggests, for moderators of Rocket League’s subreddit, Steam page, and Twitch, who also play the game. Lastly, we have the Discord Legend title. Discord has always been an integral part of any gaming community, which is why contributors to RL’s official Discord get a separate title.

RLCS World Champion

  • Color: Blue Glow

Rocket League has two major tournaments, CRL and RLCS. CRL (Collegiate Rocket League) is mainly played amongst North American college students, making competition low. The RLCS (Rocket League Championship Series), however, is a different story. This competition brings together all the best teams from around the world, including enormous corporations like FaZe and Gen.G.

Winning this championship even once is an incredible achievement and is widely recognized. Players who come out on top receive the RLCS 20 # World Champion title, relative to the year in which they win. If you ever find someone with this title in the competitive lobby, make sure to give it your all.

4-Time World Champion

  • Color: Blue Glow

Winning the world championship against top teams from all around the world is an impressive feat in itself. But imagine completing this accomplishment four times? This has only been done by one player so far, Turbopolsa.

Pierre “Turbopolsa” Slifver is by far one of the best players in Rocket League history. He won 4 RLCS championships in:

  • Season 3 – 2017 (Northern Gaming)
  • Season 4 – 2017 (Gale Force eSports)
  • Season 5 – 2018 (Team Dignitas)
  • Season 6 – 2019 (NRG Esports)

He is the only player to have reached this pinnacle in his RL career, closely followed by Kaydop, a 3-time world champion. This makes the 4-Time World Champion title one of a kind, until someone can break the world record.

Rocket Demigod

  • Color: Normal

Until now, we’ve only talked about honorary or competitive titles. Now it’s time for our only level title on the list. Rocket Demigod is achieved when players reach level 1,000. Any player can get it at any time, but what makes it special is the dedication required behind it. Level 1,000 is not an easy feat in any game, but it’s even harder to achieve in Rocket League.

Rocket Demigod is held by various players, especially veterans with old accounts. If you ever see anyone with this, know that they probably know the game inside out at this point.

Supersonic Legend

  • Color: White Glow

Having a high-level account is impressive, and winning the world championship is unparalleled. But there needs to be something in between as well. That’s where the competitive ladder comes in. Supersonic Legend is a rank that only 0.1% of Rocket League players hold. Beating out the majority of the player base, these players have risen to the top to claim this title.

The Supersonic Legend title means the player reached this rank in the respective season (written before the title). While it might not be a World Champion, it definitely puts you in a league of your own.

Rocket Husband Rocket Wife

  • Color: Cyan

Rocket Husband, Rocket Wife is by far the most unique title we’ve seen in the gaming industry. Not only does this require an in-game presence, but you’ll also need to seriously commit in real life if you’re gunning for this title. Rocket Husband, Rocket Wife is reserved for couples who met while playing Rocket League and then decided to get engaged and eventually, married.

It is preceded by the Rockets Engaged title, which is awarded upon getting engaged after meeting in-game. The title has only been claimed twice, by couples Azzy & Marc3line, and Rizzo and Athena. Congratulations to the happy gaming couples!

White Hat Legend

Last but not least, we have the White Hat Legend. This is another honorary title received by players Cobra and Null. They reported various exploits within Rocket League during the game’s early stages in 2016. It wasn’t due to a competition or with an incentive, they did it to make the game fairer and more fun.

Psyonix officially granted them the White Hat Legend in 2021 for their selfless ethical hacking, which led to many exploits being patched. If there’s one thing every gamer hates, it’s someone using an exploit to beat you. So, if there’s any title that deserves true respect, it’s the White Hat Legend.
