Ripstone has released a new update for Pure Pool Pro on PC and consoles today, bringing a solid mix of improvements across gameplay, visuals and audio.
On the gameplay side, players will now see competitive stats like wins, losses, win percentage and streaks right on player cards at the start of online matches with more details available in the Socials menu. Career challenges have been adjusted to better match their intended difficulty and players will now get credit for going beyond certain objectives like longer pots or multiple shots. There’s also a small rules change for US 8-Ball, where potting the 8-ball on the break now results in a re-rack and another break instead of a foul. Timing has been tweaked to allow last-second shots to count, the Power Feather mechanic is now explained in the tutorial.
Visually, the update cleans up aim guide clipping issues and improves how Money Shot moments are presented. Reflection stability has also been improved to cut down on noticeable shadow popping on balls, though some situations are still being worked on. Audio has been refined with better cue and table sounds, improved impact and pocket audio, added crowd reactions in the Tetradome arena and smoother transitions between menus and gameplay. For a full breakdown, including performance and optimization updates along with UI and quality of life improvements, players can check out the official page.
The update also brings in some new content and DLC options for players to check out. More than 20 new national flags have been added for player cards, based on where the game has seen the most activity, giving players more ways to represent where they’re from. A new in-game DLC store has been added to the main menu, making it easier to browse and access additional content.
All players can now claim a free item pack that includes a new ball set, four player cards, five baize designs and a premium animated crest. On top of that, three paid item packs are now available, including the Classic, Cyber and Party sets, each featuring themed content like premium ball sets, pool cues, baize designs and animated crests.
