Project Motor Racing Update 2.0.0.3 Features Another Round of Improvements

Project Motor Racing update 2.0.0.3 recently released bringing another round of improvements focused on performance, stability and making the overall experience feel smoother on track. The biggest addition on PC is the implementation of Multi-Draw Indirect (MDI), a major rendering upgrade that helps the engine handle larger and more detailed scenes more efficiently. The update also expands the throttle response model to more cars, adds a new relative timings feature to the Digidash and tweaks the handling for the Porsche 911 Carrera Cup (964).

Players will also notice a new relative timings leaderboard built into the Digidash, giving racers a better look at positions and time gaps during events. MDI has shifted more rendering work onto the GPU, reducing CPU strain and helping improve performance and frame rate consistency, especially in busy races. The team also made adjustments to culling, batching and render organization to better support modern hardware and help prepare the game for future VR and triple-screen features.

The anti-cheat system introduced in Update 2.0 continues to expand as well, now covering Factory Driver Challenge, Endurance Hall and the Ranked Online License Test to help keep leaderboard results fair. More cars have also received the updated throttle response model introduced in previous updates, continuing the push toward more natural and responsive driving feel.
