GIANTS Software has shared a new trailer and details on Project Motor Racing’s Ranked Online mode, which is designed to capture more than just the race itself. The goal is to recreate the nerves before the lights go out, the rush when everything falls into place and the frustration of a costly mistake.
To get started, players will need to complete a license test, modeled after real-world competition, to ensure everyone on the grid understands the basics. Failing isn’t the end of the world, you can retry until you pass. Your results set an initial driver rating on a 0–100 scale that blends racecraft and finishing position. That score changes as you compete, matching you with drivers at a similar level.
What makes this system stand out is that ratings are tracked separately for each car class. Someone might be a veteran in GT racing but new to prototypes and the game takes that into account. You can focus on one discipline or branch out across them all.
Ranked races are tied to month-long championships for each class with only your two best results from each week counting toward the standings. Points depend not only on finishing order but also on the strength of your competition. Reaching certain milestones unlock special events like endurance races and crossplay cups reserved for the most experienced drivers.
It’s a full online career built into the sim with no contracts, no sign-ups and no subscription fees, just competitive racing that feels authentic and rewarding. Project Motor Racing is set to launch on November 25 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
