Polymega Remix, a $199 Emulator That Lets You Digitize Physical Games, Will Be Out Soon

Official emulation, at the palm of your hand.

If you are a retro game aficionado, then you have surely heard of the Polymega, a modular-focused console that allows fans to play multiple CD/DVD and cartridge-based games via official emulation, albeit for a premium price.

But you don’t need to have over $400 to get your hands on one now, with Polymega HQ announcing the arrival of the Polymega Remix, a less bulky version of the system, now focused on providing a similar experience for a fraction of its price ($199). True to that, Remix works more as a middleman than an emulation-based system by allowing you to digitize your physical games before playing them on your PC, gaming handhelds, and the like via the free Polymega App. In other words, your system will be handling the emulation this time.

According to its official reveal, the App will provide Remix owners with an experience as close as possible to that of the main system and give them access to many of its features, like the Polymega Game Database, its Virtual Display modes, Patch Support, Custom Playlists, Extended Set game installations, Polymega Collection game support, and more.

Pre-orders for the system are already available, with its first wave of mass shipping expected to start in May 2026. You can check out more details, as well as how the company handles international shipping, via the Polymega Remix’s official store page.

All Polymega Remix Compatible Games

According to its official store listing, the base Polymega Remix will only be compatible with PlayStation 1, Sega Saturn, Sega CD, Mega CD, 32XCD, Neo Geo CD, TurboGrafx-CD, PC-Engine CD, and Polymega Collection CD/DVDs. That means that you will still need to buy its system-focused modules to digitize cartridges for systems like the NES, Famicom, SNES, Super Famicom, SEGA Genesis, Mega Drive, and more. You can check out all of them and their pricing in the official Polymega store.
