Although considered by many as a glass canon, Gardevoir is by far one of the most beloved and iconic Pokémon in the franchise, as well as one more than capable of excelling in multiple formats in Pokémon Champions, if you know how to build them, that is.
To help you create the best surprise pick or leave your opponent’s in awe with a focused team, here are the best Gardevoir builds for singles and doubles in Pokémon Champions, as well as their best teams.

The Best Gardevoir Build in Pokémon Champions

As Gardevoir shines as both a Sp. Attacker and an eventual support, we will start by keeping Trace as their ability. The reason here is simple: Trace allows them to copy the abilities of opposing Pokémon and thus work as an excellent lead, capable of turning the Intimidate meta against its users (that’s right, we are looking at you Incineroar). If on Earthwake or other All DMG-focused strategies, Telephaty is then a must-have by allowing them to avoid friendly fire.
From there, we will be picking the Timid Nature to boost their SPD. If you wish to instead double down on damage, going for Modest would be best. Item-wise, Gardevoirite is the only choice, as Mega Evolving is a must when looking to use the Pokémon in both formats, given its stats and the effects of Pixilate. The ability will turn all of Mega Gardevoir’s normal moves, like Hyper Voice, into Fairy STAB (Same-Type Attack Bonus) options. It will also further boost their DMG by 20%. Focus Sash and Choice Scarf are also fair choices.
Best Moves For Gardevoir in Pokémon Champions
When looking at their moves for singles, Hyper Voice will be the foundation of our build via its devastating effect when used by Mega Gardevoir. We will also add Psychic for an extra STAB option and Mystical Fire for its Sp. Atk debuff to threats and good DMG. To close it, go with either Vacuum Wave as a priority option or Thunderbolt to counter meta water types (aka Primarina).
For doubles, Gardevoir will moonlight as a Trick Room support (if needed) by pairing Hyper Voice and Psycic with the titular ability and Protect. If not using Mega Gardevoir, replace Hyper Voice with Moonblast for a secondary STAB option. To recap, here’s an overview of what we consider to be the best Gardevoir builds for both singles and doubles in Pokémon Champions, as well as the best stat distribution for both scenarios:

- Ability: Trace

- Item: Gardevoirite
- Moves:
- Hyper Voice

Best Doubles Gardevoir Build

- Nature: Timid.
- Stat Investment: +32 Sp. Atk, +32 Speed, and +2 HP

The Best Gardevoir Teams For Singles
As Gardevoir is extremely self-sufficient in singles, their best teammates must be able to do the same, with Kingambit, Archaludon, and Garchomp being excellent sweeper choices given the current meta. I also love using Meowscarada as the lead, via its ability to trigger a switch with U-Turn and adapt to multiple matchups while dealing high DMG.
The Best Gardevoir Teams For Doubles
When in doubles, Gardevoir excels the most when paired with teammates capable of either getting the most from Trick Room or providing them with enough to go full DPS in their Mega form. True to that, Incineroar is the best pick for the latter via the effects of Intimidate and Parting Shot. You can then pair them with either Sinistcha, who can redirect opposing attacks, and Whimsicott, thanks to its ability to set up Tailwind. For the final spot, we recommend going with a solid self-sufficient DPS, such as Garchomp or Sneasler.
If looking to use Gardevoir as a Trick Room support, Incineroar shines once again via its unmatched utility, with heavy hitters like Kingambit, Tarnitar, and Archaludon being premier damage choices for the setup.
