Some of this stuff is crazy. Rodgers and Wilson are the consensus early favorites for MVP. Neither should go down.
Nate Herbig for the Eagles has been tearing up. Dude is the 6th rated Guard in the whole league through 2 weeks and what is he rated? A 57..... How the heck?

This season the new CBA allows 2 PS players to be called up to the active roster for game days , who then revert to the PS after the game ( I think this was part of the new CBA even before the additional Covid measures ) .Thus in effect teams are operating with 55 man rosters
The EA team are , it appears , not including these transactions as by the following Thursday they have returned to the PS .
I think this explains most of the these 'missed' players although I haven't checked each case .
Ultimately the only way to achieve accuracy of the rosters would be for the game ( esp franchise) to incorporate accurately ALL real life NFL rules and designations including PUP , NFI and suspensions .
In my opinion this should be the MINIMUM requirement of any simulation based franchise mode as without this basic level of functionality both the roster team at EA and its customers are operating with one hand tied behind their back with regard to this.
It seems relatively pointless to be debating minor ratings disagreements when there is no way of even getting the right players on the right teams with any accuracy.
The disrespect still being shown to this man is unfathomable.
AGREED.
Football is such a matchup game that it's a huge overreaction to adjust ratings week to week. Guys can look good or bad because of the opponent, game plan, injuries on each team, etc.
You need 3-4 weeks of gameplay to even begin to spot trends.
The entire game is nothing but sample size theatre. If nothing else the rules and/or rosters are going to change on you before you learn anything statistically significant.
