NXT Superstars Suggest WWE 2K26 Scan, Raising Questions about Darkstate

Will the NXT faction be in WWE 2K26?

Word’s spreading fast across the WWE 2K community: four more NXT star talents confirm they’ve been scanned for WWE 2K26. Now everyone’s buzzing about whether Darkstate finally makes the roster. Fans are hyped up, but being scanned doesn’t equal making an entry into a 2K installment, as one Reddit user points out:

“While chances are good, do remember getting scanned doesn’t equal being confirmed to be part of any given WWE 2K game. We’ve got people scanned in the past who missed one and even two full WWE 2K games before getting added, Alicia Fox, the 4HW and Kelani Jordan comes to my mind as people who got scanned but then missed the following WWE 2K game they were supposedly getting scanned for.”

So, in light of this rising debate, let’s dive into what you need to know and what to expect coming up in WWE 2K26.

Darkstate Making The WWE 2K26 Roster?

Darkstate is where all the real intrigue is. People keep bringing up their run so far in NXT: tag titles chases, main event angles, and the whole deal as prime 2K26 material. In a game where 2K25’s NXT tag division felt thin in Universe Mode, Darkstate simply makes sense for 2K26. As one r/WWEGames subreddit user puts it,

Hoping they bulk up the division; 2K25 tags are stale.”

Recent history fits, guys like Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Blair Davenport made 2K25 after being scanned, even after they had left NXT. Jazmyn Nyx also admitted she got scanned for 2K25 before her release, so hope’s alive.

This all lines up with the usual early scan wave. Earlier threads also confirmed Jazmyn Nyx via Snapchat Q&A’s, and YouTube’s full of rumors about NXT champs and even AAA crossover names like Mr Iguana.

Is There Any Official Announcement?

There’s no official word from 2K yet, but the scans always start months ahead to handle models, movesets, and CAWs. The pattern’s obvious: NXT’s getting more spotlight this year. Fans want better Universe Mode integration as well, with long-awaited editions and rising talents. Joe Hendry also recently signed with WWE, so maybe he’ll make an appearance. Whether he’s in the base game or as DLC is hard to say for now.
