Reddit is usually the place where you’ll find filterless comments about pretty much anything, and EA FC 26 is no exception. So when a user started a thread on r/EASportsFC asking people about their favorite part of EA FC 26, all hell broke loose.

Redditors rarely hold back when bashing something, and when it came to EA FC 26, boy, you could hear their frustrations. Many of them just outlined their complaints with the game, and some of them actually mentioned things they enjoyed, like “Live events are fun”.  For some, Totti being in the game was the only good thing about it.

But the most entertaining part of this thread was the sarcastic comments. Comments like “nothing” and “It is so bad that it made me start playing tons of good games” are definitely highlights. Fans didn’t shy away from expressing their complaints with the game.

“It made me realize that it’s probably not worth it to play any FC game before 28 or 29. There’s no way EA would manage to get it right this year or next year.”

It wasn’t all negative; some fans actually mentioned good things about EA FC 26.  From updated squads to an improved Career Mode, comments were appreciating small aspects of the game they enjoyed. Of course, most of the sentiment around the game was negative, which is a concern for the future of this franchise.

Career mode keeps getting marginally better year on year, and I’ve had a lot of fun with it this year especially with the icons

Still pretty average but it’s conceptually very solid

Just wish the games released like every 2 years so they could get all the fucking bugs fixed (and get rid of the negotiation cutscenes)

It’s a clear sign that the FC community has reached the point of fatigue and has no hope that the game will improve in any way. Many of them are considering opting out of purchasing the next game, stating that they will wait to see if it’s worth it or not.

EA FC 26’s reception illustrates how quickly a passionate fanbase can turn from excitement to sarcasm when expectations aren’t met, and how social media amplifies frustration when it becomes the dominant narrative in player conversations.
