Nintendo Switch Sports Announced - Launches April 29, Online Play Test Coming in February

Nintendo has announced Nintendo Switch Sports a sequel to the popular Wii Sports. The game will include volleyball, badminton, bowling, soccer, chambara (sword play) and tennis at launch using Joy-Con controllers.

Fans will also be able to utilize the Leg Strap accessory in Soccer Shootout when the free update arrives in the summer. Nintendo also plans to release a free update in the fall adding golf to the mix.

Nintendo Switch Sports is scheduled to arrive on April 29 for $39.99. An online play test will be available on February 18 through February 20 with bowling, chambara and tennis available to play. While you won’t be able to play with your friends during the test, random matchmaking will be available. A Nintendo Switch Online membership will be required.
