EA Sports revealed their NHL 24 trailer today featuring the brand new Exhaust Engine powered by Frostbite, including the Sustained Pressure and Goalie Fatigue systems.
Using the Sustained Pressure System, offensive players who maintain pressure in the attacking zone earn and activate the Sustained Pressure perk. This temporarily reduces opponents’ attributes, leading to increased space for movement and play setup. The Goalie Fatigue System causes the opponent’s goalie to experience more fatigue as you shoot more pucks on net. This progressively hampers the goalie’s shot reaction abilities over time. NHL 24 has over 75 new goalie animations to enhance the immersive in-game narrative.
Featuring revamped physics and animations, the Physics-Based Contact system will transform physical interactions, introducing lifelike body checks of unprecedented realism. Fresh animation-driven reactions generate impactful moments throughout the game, enabling players to seize turnover chances through powerful checks. Aggressive players can now shatter the glass and force opponents to the bench with physical checks.
