The NHL 23 trade deadline roster update is available now along with the latest patch. This update includes a new feature that allows players to engage in cross-platform HUT Play a Friend matches with opponents on respective console generations. Players on PlayStation 5 can play against Xbox Series X|S and likewise for PlayStation 4 vs. Xbox One.
To start a Private Game in the HUT Main Menu’s Play A Friend tab, click the new Private Game tab. Once entered, establish a password and ensure that your opponent sets the same password on their end to facilitate matching up. After both passwords match, click Start Game to initiate matchmaking and compete against each other.
