NHL 22 patch 1.6 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, March 30 between 1:00 to 2:00 PM ET. The update adds UBS Arena, home of the New York Islanders. No word on whether or not the arena will be available in existing franchises or if they will need to be restarted.
UPDATE: (3-30) The patch is available now. UBS Arena is available in existing franchises.
Check out the patch notes below.
- Added UBS Arena, home of the New York Islanders into the game
- Fixed multiple cases where the puck was accelerating off the boards at unrealistic speeds and angles
- Fixed the Nashville Predators Stadium Series uniforms to have white numbers on the back of their uniforms
Just in case you missed it, the team released their NHL 22 trade deadline roster last week featuring all of the recent transactions in the league.

I just tried it. It does work in existing franchises. It does still say "Islanders Arena" under the team names of the intro scene though.
My goodness....

The patch is broken. Download a roster or previous roster and go to create a player and the game freezes!. I built a custom IIHF roster that I spent months making and EA takes countries out of the game. Really wishthey didn't force you to update the game, which is now broken.

Sadly from my testing NOT YET.
I have tried to even adjust the "Shot Bias" in the PLAYER ATTRIBUTE EDIT Screen (for example going from Shooting bias 9/15 to 0/15 ) but in my game against the Rangers (as the Blues on All Star)--not a single Ranger D Man registered a Shot on Goal. (Also still no Defletion/Tip Ins despite "Big Tipper" being one of the games X Factors---which seemingly disappeared after the March Patch)
This is so dumb, you have to use one of the newest rosters to have it called "UBS Arena, Elmont, NY". Why the hell they attach something like this to a roster file, is beyond me.
