All New Captain Tsubasa 2 World Fighters Gameplay Mechanics, Explained

Starting with Max Actions, the mechanic allows Captain Tsubasa 2 World Fighters players to perform clinical or enhanced dribbles/tackles via precise inputs. All of the moves cost Stamina and can only be defeated by other Max Actions under specific conditions. There’s a catch, though, as the Max Action activated last will always come out on top when in head-to-head confrontations.

World Fighters‘ Super Moves system then allows players to perform unique skills after filling their super gauges. The Skills can vary from pitch-wide unstoppable passes, dribbles, and tackles, to Super Aerial Shots capable of testing the keeper no matter the distance. Basic shooting and goalkeeping also received new touches via Goalkeeper Tactics, which allows both keepers and shooters to aim their shots/dives during animations. Getting it right between the sticks will then reduce the amount of HP/Stamina lost per save.

Lastly, the game takes a page out of the Inazuma Eleven book by allowing players to combine moves and boost a character’s shot power via its Chain System. Its Miracle Actions mechanic, however, sets it apart. Triggered at random during matches, it allows keepers to save sure goals with Miracle Saves and outfield players to perform unique Individual and Miracle Team Moves straight out of the pages of the manga.
