  1. Great video, love the broadcast view. Seeing Lebron in a lakers uni is throwing me off though. lol. Any old time Live guys recognize the PA announcer? This is the same guy they have been using maybe for the last 15 years!! I mean seriously, that's the guy from the PS2 days! Not complaning, I think hearing him on this game is awesome! Go to 4:35 point to hear him. this should take you there. https://youtu.be/sx1H4fcwXSw?t=4m35s

Forget PS2. That guy has been there since 96 or 97. The Genesis and SNES days.
Really loving how fluid everything looks. It looks so impressively smooth. Great blend of offense and defense. Seems well balanced. Between the demo and this, I can definitely say that the gameplay has taken giant leaps above NBA Live 18.
The graphics are also a MASSIVE leap forward. NBA Live has finally caught up to and surpassed 2K in this department.
The crowd and sounds are phenomenal. Much better than 2K. EXCEPT, the commentary... Yikes... It doesn't sound like modern day sports gaming commentary at all... (which isn't very good as it is).
I'm getting both NBA Live 19 and NBA 2K19 as is tradition. 2K has always had much more of my attention than Live. Hence, why I used the comparison so much. With that said, IF the NBA Live team has done even a decent amount to franchise mode then Live 19 will be getting more of my time than 2K19.
All in all I think Live 19 has done a great job of balancing fun and sim. Though, sim isn't their entire focus obviously (not always a bad thing). I think it's a perfect blend of both.
DISCLAIMER: I already bought Live 19 for $36 dollars when it was on sale.

Man, I just want to get my hands on this game and try out the different teams, see the arenas and check out the commentary updates etc.
As others have said, it’s looking so fluid and smooth. I love the camera too.

Overall, the graphics are better. Best looking crowd I've ever seen, courts also spectacular. Only thing I think 2K does better is the player movement and smoother passing.

I love the fact we can agree or disagree on something fairly simple. It means the competition is driving both teams to do even better. It's great for everyone! I love that it's getting to this point again. Everyone is starting to get improvements quicker because of the competition! Great job to both 2K and the Live team!

2K has been disappointing me last few years, but pm me if you want to discuss since this is a live thread . Probably not the place to be discussing 2k

Must be! I’ve always liked him. One year however I wish one of the basketball games would use specific PA announcer is depending on the location. That would be a wonderful addition imo

That view is nice. Wish they offered a few more or a fully customizable view too. I would love a skybox option to see all the level of detail of everything. And while it’s not a big deal unless someone can correct me I think I noticed I didn’t see any cheerleaders. I also would love to see more of the couch especially after a bad cold or questionable play that his team did to show his emotions

I'll be okay with the same guy if he at least used the home team calls.

The guy controlling the Lakers is terrible. Forcing it with Lebron. What an eyesore to watch him play.

I could be wrong, but I think AI is controlling the Lakers.
And obviously the game is set to rookie difficulty. He was getting a lot of steals out there by just spamming.

Watched the video again and you're right.

Looks pretty great. Just wish that Franchise Mode got more focus. I'd be all over this game then. Chances are I'll probably still get it but 2k will still be my main basketball fix.
Still looking forward to it though. Looks good.
Horrible video to be released, honestly. It does a good job of showing off some of the visuals, but the person playing is not good, and is clearly playing on rookie, possibly even with sliders tuned more in their favor. It made the CPU look horrific, and the user was able to make pretty much every shot they wanted.
I still don't understand why anyone plays with the broadcast style cameras, the game looks exponentially better on baseline or baseline high.  That said, the game is really good from the time I've had with it.  The CPU is fun to play against and I'm blown away with how many animations they've added this year.  I no longer cringe when I drive to the basket because you see such diversity in contact and finish animations.
Great job EA, you have won me over this year.
That wasn't broadcast. That was side line or something. I play on broadcast and to me it's much better than whatever cam was used for that video.

Agreed. This is Baseline Low if I'm not mistaken.
I play on ESPN Broadcast too, and IMO it's much better than this view.
Damn that looks beautiful - easily a match for 2K if not better. But that commentary - wow! That is some of the worst I have ever heard in my life. It actually annoys me.

I know the commentary is bad, but am I crazy for saying 19's commentary is slightly better than 18? :duck:

Man I been wanting a sky box view for Live for the longest now, its funny because they actually have a sky box type look as a option in the replay menu but not the actual in game cameras.
They need more options at camera or at least height and zoom options for the cameras they already have.
This game looks phenomenal and exceptionally fluid, and LeBron looks and acts probably as good as he ever has in a video game, but that commentary.......... woof.
I mean it's so bad it's making me not want to watch the video with sound.  It's just so generic and canned.

I'm liking the commentary. It's definitely not energetic enough when it needs to be but I like the flow.
It could also be that I was tired of hearing JVG tell me how the NBA body can contort so effortlessly.

Commentary isnt my favorite but I'm warming up a bit...
Let's just get rid off that "urghhh" on blocks and we're cool...lol

LeBron's shooting form looks real crisp compared to the other game. Should be fun playing with him.
With that said, did not like the free throw shooting form or the routine. Whereas someone like KD they got his down.

I think if someone is saying it's better than 18, it can only be based on variety, they certainly say more than Breen and Van Gundy did, I do think it will get better as they continue to update it on the full game. Hopefully...

Free throw routines still look goofy as heck. Something goes haywire with their heads and eyes when they are shooting.

Agreed here. Every free throw routine looks very stiff and awkward. Especially the few seconds when they're waiting for the ref to give them the ball and the camera is on them from the front.
