    This is awesome....
But I sure would love to see some more NBA on the court action. The One is really not for me.

Yeah, but I think The One is probably the selling point more than anything. There's more hype in that than 5 on 5/franchise/LUT I imagine. Which makes sense given the rise in popularity of Pro Am/Competitive Co-op play. It's (generally) funner for people to play with your boys against another crew than to play solo against some other guy/computer.
Should have just went ahead and renamed the series NBA Street. That’s their entire marketing campaign for this game.

Now just let us play normal 5v5 exhibition games at these epic venues.  Maybe a 'Pick Up' mode where you and your opponent flip a coin and draft teams?

At least ea is releasing videos of gameplay and not just screenshots

    Meh, I want franchise info...

Franchise info won't move the needle marketing wise (at least initially). Everything about basketball nowadays is strictly The One/My Player and rightfully.
According to someone here on the forum, info about that will be released late July.
    "shootouts included"....lol
not a  fan of live, but seriously speaking, this is a nice feature.    this is sure to get  a few more sales for EA.

Which is why unfortunately I had to cancel my pre order because of the lack of info about a franchise/season mode.
I dont knock what everyone likes to each there own, street mode online ain't for me. I'm more oldschool where I have my fun against the CPU. Taking my team or watching a CPU vs CPU match up.
I'm not digging this being force fed these ultimate/my team events. Or being forced to team up with other random people to play a game.
I get online is the new thing where everyone plays with everyone, that ain't my style though, and I feel like I'm being left behind in my games that I like because of the way I choose to play my game.
As of now 2k18 maybe a lot of things offline and online, but they still offer the way I choose to play as a option.
Dont get me wrong I'm rooting for live, I really am, but with the lack of info and being burned in the past with games I just couldn't watch it happen again.
If live has the things 8m looking for I'll definitely pick it up, but right now I gotta say no. Even if that means I miss out on the 33%. Money dont grow on trees and all of these company's in general are taking way to many short cuts these days. That's not a shot, that's straight facts.
If they can improve on the gameplay, I'd be very interested in picking up Live this year. I'm very intrigued by the global feel they're going for with the courts around the world.

For offline franchise management mode - it’s 2K! Just way ahead and I don’t see Live catching up.
For online (like 2K’s MyPlayer), I use Live’s The One mode. It’s not a job to get to 98 overall and you don’t need to buy anything. Plus, no 3-hour unstoppable forced in throat cut scenes just to try out new archetype. So for online MyPlayer / The One mode - Live wins for me.
EA is carving out a niche with The One and the street ball modes. And I don't blame them at all. They have to separate themselves somehow from 2K and this is a good way to do it. Like it or not, us old heads aren't the focus of the game. And that's fine because the younger crowd is very much into this.
I'm a typical 5 on 5 franchise guy but I understand where EA is coming from and it's the right move.
As long as us more traditional guys still get steady improvements in the actual NBA gameplay and a better franchise mode, they can keep the focus on The One.

Looks like Live has chosen to go all out on street ball and conceding the franchise mode to 2K. I wish we had this option in football games.

I tried franchise in Live 18 and it looks like just placed there for spite. But it’s about 1-2 years behind in complexity (lack of it). Franchise is not Live’s strength and they should focus on the MyPlayer / The One online streetball mode, which is not a chore and it’s fun to play with.

Relax guys, they’ve said on Twitter that there’s plenty more to come. Someone on here already said that Franchise news is coming late July-ish.
Really hoping Franchse mode takes positive steps, but other EA titles aren't very good so I'm not too optimistic there.
Praying gameplay improves because I really want to get away from 2k for a year.

Just make a new NBA street instead. I feel like most people would love to have a new version of the street franchise.

The game was cool, but was just worth $20 in it's prime. Just having good basketball in the street or even arcade basketball in the street isn't worth $60 anymore. Street mode, franchise mode, "one mode", all are in the same game.
Why not just argue to add a few elements from NBA Street? Or have an extra arcade like mode for streetball? We would get way more for our money then a simple game where we play street ball against the friends or computer

Are we forced to only use these in player-lock mode and in the One mode?* Can we use* these in exhibition?

Has it been confirmed if we can use these courts with 5 on 5 user control in a "quick game" setting?

That's exactly what I want to know as well.
