NBA 2K26 Update 5.0 Available - Patch Notes

NBA 2K26 patch 5.0 is live today for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with the PC patch expected to be released ahead of Season 5. This one mainly sets the table for Season 5, which tips off Friday, February 20 at 11 AM ET, as the team gets everything ready for the next wave of content.

There’s also a uniform and arena update on the way that will go live with the latest roster update later this week. The Cleveland Cavaliers are getting their Conference Championship banner corrected and the Denver Nuggets home uniform will feature the proper Nike logo color. Some more player and coach likeness updates will be included as well when the new roster arrives. Here’s the full list and the rest of the patch notes.

GAMEPLAY

• Fixed a rare hang that could occur during an inbounds play after a blocked shot.
• Fixed a possible hang during pregame shootarounds.
• The Alley-Oop tutorial in Learn 2K can now be completed as expected.

THE CITY GAME MODES

• Addressed a reported hang that could occur when browsing certain stores for extended periods of time.
• Fixed a hang that could occur when returning to the Crew Members screen after being disconnected.
• Resolved a possible hang that could occur when advancing to future NBA seasons in MyCOURT.
• Player Stats and Average Teammate Grade now appear correctly on the Player Matchup screen for Ante-Up games.
• The Game Stats menu now properly dismisses when opened immediately before player introductions.

MyTEAM

• Addressed an issue that prevented some Badges from appearing on the Coaching tab and unlocking their Coach Training Challenges.
• Updated the in-game display of Dynamic Duo boosted Badges to accurately reflect the actual boosts.
• Various improvements to other menus and features throughout MyTEAM.

MyNBA / MyGM / THE W

• Fixed a timing-specific hang that could occur when exiting MyNBA modes with customized team logos in use.
• The winning team now properly appears on the Jumbotron during the FIBA championship celebration sequence.
• Fixed a reported PC-only hang that could occur when saving a custom uniform with specific fonts applied.
