  1. Pacers are going to end up being one hell of a squad when the season ends due to the timing of key injuries, but the other players are stepping up. I might jump back into PNO again the season is over. Really miss having TJ Warren.

Pacers and Raptors are on a collision course for the 10th seed. There is a chance the final game/day of the regular season could determine the 10th seed/final play in spot.
Gotta run to work - my initial observation w/o even scrolling is Tyrese Maxey has a higher OVR than Seth Curry, tied with George Hill. Yet we can easily see from Maxey's Gamelog that he's only playing in garbage time right now.

2K continues to not understand what it's OVR actually does in the game. The ratings are more or less on auto-pilot and yet the pilot isn't giving the bare minimum needed to land the plane. Ya'll invented the Intangibles attribute exactly for this purpose. Take your 5 seconds and shift so the depth charts work correctly.
Why isn’t Russ’s ovr going up at all he’s playing outstanding basketball rn wiz are 11-3 last 14 games because of him

Worth noting in regards to today's update. There seems to be an Overall Rating difference on both Current & Next Gen vs 2K's official list.
Ricky Rubio is a 77 OVR but in the notes, it says he is a 78 OVR
Immanuel Quickley is a 79 OVR but in the notes, it says he is an 80 OVR.
Trent Forrest: is a 67 OVR but in the notes it says he is a 69 OVR (+2)
2K either had a clerical error or the players above were intended for an update but were missed in the editing phase
I thought Kever Porter Jr. would have had a higher increase. He increased from a 75 OVR to a 77 OVR. He's averaging 16.6 points, 6.3 assists, and is 31% from 3 this season. In the 5 games he played since the previous ratings update he averaged 21.2 points, 6.6 assists, and 38% from 3 including a huge 50 point game. I would think he'd be hovering around the 79/80 OVR area.

Porter's percentages (42/31/73) are not great. Raw numbers don't really matter anymore in today's league, everyone averages gaudy numbers w/ enough touches. His efficiency (or lack thereof) matters more. As you said, he is shooting 31% from 3pt but that is NOT a good rate.
The 77 is relatively fine, I'm sure the problem isn't his attributes but rather his badges. He likely needs more scoring badges to account for how much he does it off the dribble.
    12.6 PER
    53 TS% on 26 USG%
32 AST% on 1.80 ATR (this is his best attribute, and the 2K formula likely doesn't account enough)
    2 ORB% / 11 DRB%
    1.1 STL% / 0.9 BLK%
I would agree he should have a higher OVR than Tyrese Maxey, who I briefly touched on above (2K again not understanding how to utilize Intangibles in their roster). I'd consider him in the bottom 10 of starting SG, somewhere in like the Josh Richardson / Donte DiVincenzo range.
    Wooosh off to work

Isn't time for another and final roster update for the non-playoff teams?

I'm guessing any day now. 2K was likely waiting on the Play-In games to finish and they typically don't release roster updates with new ratings on the weekends.

    Thanks.
You would think that as long as I've been buying this game, I would know when they typically do roster updates.

They generally stick to every two Thursdays.
The only Friday updates we got were All-Star weekend (final games on Thursday) and the Trade deadline (always falls on Thursday).
They don't stick to that cycle come playoff time. The eliminated teams are probably done being updated.

Actually, just checked. Looks they only removed the injuries from the non-playoff teams. I was hoping that Sabonis would get one more boost (if applicable) before they were done with the Pacers for the season.

Injury updates are done daily and not part of the bi-weekly rating update.
They removed injuries for non-playoff teams at the conclusion of the regular season.

Damn. I really haven't been paying attention over the years, lol.

Was there something specific you were looking for in an update?
Nothing special. The Pacers fanboy in me was just hoping to see if Domantas Sabonis was worthy of an boost. Felt like he was almost averaging a triple double for the remaining 6-8 games of the season.
And Caris LeVert. I'm just being greedy, lol.
Honestly, I'm still salty at 2K Sports for not releasing the injuries on NBA 2K20. I probably would still be playing that game online more than NBA 2K21.
