NBA 2K21 Coming to Xbox Game Pass on March 4
Microsoft has announced NBA 2K21 will join the growing list of available games for Xbox Game Pass subscribers tomorrow, March 4. We have confirmed with 2K that it’s for current-gen only, sorry Xbox Series X|S fans.
For those of you that haven’t subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service, you can get your first month for $1, then pay $14.99 per month. Here’s what’s included.
- Access to over 100 high-quality games for console, PC, and Android mobile devices
- New games added all the time
- Xbox Game Studio titles the same day as release
- Exclusive member discounts and deals
- Free Perks including in-game content and partner offers
- Play games on your Android mobile phone and tablet from the cloud (Beta)
- Xbox Live Gold – Which includes Deals with Gold, Games with Gold, and console multiplayer
- EA Play – A library of top Electronic Arts titles, exclusive rewards, and member-only content
Not to start a console war, but that X-Box Ultimate Game Pass is the real deal. I have played a LOT of good games due to it. Heck...if you're a sports fan, I think they added all the latest sports title to it.
We confirmed with 2K. It's current-gen only.
Not surprising. I don't think I've seen next-gen digital even go to a sale price yet, let alone "free".
Madden 21.
EDIT: What am I thinking??? This means that I can download the current gen version, since it's BC on the XBSX. Meh...this might renew my interest in the game, since I'm really not having fun with the next-gen version.
Meant NBA2k next-gen. Sorry for not clarifying.
Been looking for it, too (the PS5 version, that is) - I am interested in it but probably won't play it enough to justify it at full price. I have seen the physical version lower in some places but I have a discless PS5.

Thanks Steve.
You can still dashboard on current gen. Chalk up that point to current gen.
Thus far, the game is taking advantage of the XBSX power, so loading times are definitely faster and quick resume works. Graphically...it looks the "same" to me on the broadcast camera minus the actual stadium. Before anyone say anything, I'm NOT that big on artwork. I said this in the PNO thread, love the fact that I got the better OTF menu...I can actually CHOOSE my freaking freelances. So far, current gen does have some advantages over next-gen. I might try to squeeze in a quick game in PNO on my lunch break today. Current generation PNO looks like they have more people playing, so I'm going to try to unlock the All-Time Pacers there.

It won't install though. Keeps telling you "Uh Oh, something went wrong. Tap below to try again"
You paid that $100 for Kobe and an upgrade to next gen. Not for exclusive access to the game for eternity.

From what I've seen (DL the game two days ago) there's nothing new in 21 Vs 20 when it comes to myleague.
Gameplay wise it feels a bit different, can't really tell from just playing for a day or two,but it feels better, need to set it up with some good sliders to see if it plays better/worse.
But to me it looks better (animations/player movement) but if you already are deep in to a career on 20 I'd stick to that.
