  1. I really wish they would provide some physical bonuses, it'd be awesome to get some kind of exclusive Wade and/or Davis card, like an actual physical limited number basketball card, of course this coming from a guy who collects basketball cards. Still some nice stuff here though. I'll probably be pre-ordering but I'm going to have to think on which version.
Yes I know....dumb question but here we go.....
What physically can I buy in a store.
Just standard AD edition and the DWade legend edition correct ??

    Yes, just those 2
    Hustle Westbrook
Glad they're not doing the early release again.

Yeah...which means that it was a bad idea and it didn't reach the numbers they wanted.
Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the standard edition and spend the $50 on some VC. Might go physical too.
And what's this stuff about my player clothing capsules? That just screams loot boxes lol.
So...... Legend edition comes with 100k huh.... More and more it's looking like some copy paste stuff man....... 100k in vc is alright until you see that it costs like around 190k to get to a 85.... Not pre-ordering, going to wait and see how the game play and how far(greedy) they go with the vc.
So I’m most likely going to get 2K20 as a birthday gift. As of right now I think I’m still going to ask for the standard edition. Just going to get my vc from actually playing the game. Mainly play now online, and then I’m going to go to my player once that vc adds up. Think it’s best to have someone save money rather than spend money on something that I can get through playing the game.

Can they for once give us a cover art and boot screen for the specific edition we buy?

This is exactly why I'm only ordering standard this year. I don't see a true incentive to purchase the Legend edition. I guess the 100k vc is good look but unless it is coming out a week earlier, no real reason to buy. I'll save that extra 50 for gas or some snacks from the corner store
I’m gonna buy the Legend edition because I can all you kids crying “ im gonna go with the standard” “looks like copy and paste” so whatever stfu your gonna get the game anyways and spend money on it

    2k15 10/07
    2k16 09/29
    2k17 09/16
    2k18 09/19
    2k19 09/11

I miss the days when it would release in October. But with other Triple A coming around at the same time I can understand why. Though this year looks pretty weak for other games IMO.
with how theres no early release BS going on this year and you get all 3 versions at the same time, is it safe to say that maybe 2k realized their mistakes and going to do us right this year?

You should take your own advice and stfu. People can say whatever they want and buy whatever version they want. Typical keyboard warrior.

There wasn't an early release last year either.
I might wait until the start of the season when the game goes on sale for $40 and the major bugs are fixed and the slider sets around here are up and running in full force. But, if they blow out offline MyLeague this year and add in some more actual vintage retro teams then I'll consider getting it on day 1.

Yeah it was. The legend edition let us play earlier by a couple of days

So how much VC does $40 usually get you at launch ? I'm trying to decide if anything over the standard is worth it and VC would be the only incentive for me.
Maybe this is a dumb question, but for those who buy digital...if I were to buy the most expensive version, with DWade on the cover (digitally), when I fire up the game do I get a visual of the DWade cover or AD? I'm on PS4. Thanks

Is it just me or does 2k seem to release earlier and earlier every year.

No doubt. Giving the devs smaller and smaller windows to fix issues and optimize the game...

It’s basically only enough to get your character from a 65 to a 78
I'll have to wait to see the discounted prices on G2A, CDkeys or Greenmangaming and then make a decision.
Can't lose on all three...good amount of stuff release either way.

If the only preorder bonus you're interested in is the VC, it's always more efficient to just buy the standard and then spend money on VC separately. $50 should get you 200k VC. $40 would be 150k (assuming VC prices remain the way they've been the past few years).
Sigh @ preorders. One thing I learned in 20+ years gaming, especially lately, on games like this you wait 1 or 2 months to see how the bugs work out. Never preorder lol

I get your point...but I always preorder and wait for the first weekend VC glitches... 😉

    It will be AD.
I've purchased every 2k, every special/legend edition, and I must say this is absolutely disappointing. Can we at least get a steelbook case or something 2k? From what I'm seeing that could easily be 69.99.
Money isn't the issue for me though, the things included is crazy lackluster. Even 2k19 came with a rubber wristband, geez.
We came from getting lockers, basketballs, controller skins, To digital shoes?!

I like that it's releasing early. I play mostly PNO. With early release date, it gives PNO players a chance to play with the full roster before 2K Sports updates to the official roster. Being a Pacers fan, I'll get to play with Victor Oladipo for almost two months, before he's removed.

Not really...they're only "losing" a week of development time each of the years they release early.

They definitely need to give some kind of physical incentive. I collect NBA cards if they'd included some kind of rare D Wade card or something, it'd go a long way in convincing me to upgrade.

It's because the NBA season starts earlier each year.
2K doesn't set the release date. The game is contractually required to release X amount of time before the season.
I'm going to pre-order the Standard Edition since there's no early release and because I don't play the MyTeam mode. Depending on how much the VC costs, maybe I'll spend $40 more on VC to upgrade MyPlayer.
I'll wait on MyPlayer/MyCareer news and the demo before pre-ordering first. I also think I'm going to buy NBA 2K20 at GameStop to build up my Rewards Points.

    What i disliked about NBA2K19:
    - Broken mentorship feature
    - Third jersey glitch (created teams)
    - I did not like gameplay against AI and often rage quit
    - MyCareer getting worse every year
Most important: Developers should fix glitches and bugs for NBA2K20. Sure it's one of the best AAA Videosportsgame, but quality testing is horrible.
They never fixed things in NBA2K19. I think this year i wait and don't pre-order.
