  1. That’s nowhere near all the changes in this update.... How about all the position changes like Gay to PF, Danilo to PF and not to mention to forgot to mention you lowered LeBron James finally 😂 If your going to post an article saying an update from 11/03, which we all know came out like 4 days ago 🤦*♂️ At least do your job properly and provide all the details of the update or don’t even bother 😂

What the hell is your problem? Do you even know who Steve is? He literally has nothing to do with the updates. 2K is the one who provides the official list of changes.
I never was having a go at Steve, just stating the facts that if your going to provide update details for somebody to post online maybe make sure you’ve got all your details correct and the right information or people are going to destroy you online for not doing your job properly
Unfortunately, "all of the updates" aren't something we receive anymore, so the best we can do is link and post what is available. I know it's not what most people want, but times change and this is what we get now.
Trust me, I've asked. It's all on PR now, not Mike. I believe if it was up to Mike (2KStauff), we'd still be getting them.

For real? Well, geez. That kinda sucks.
For most of the year, Kyrie has been lowered from his 93 rating last year even though he is a better player across the board with most stats - advanced and basic. His shooting splits are 50/42/87. He's averaging 24/7/5 in 33 minutes per game. Basically every stat (including the defensive ones) is a career best except for scoring which is heavily affected by him playing the least amount of minutes compared to every other star player in the league, and free throw percentage which is still elite.
He's essentially being punished because his team was playing like trash even though most stats shows that they are better with him on the court. Rozier is one of the most inefficient players in the league but is treated like a young prospect. Brown struggled mightily in the beginning but the narrative changed to him having to sacrifice his role. Tatum changed up his shot selection for the worse which is why his percentages are worse this year. Horford was showing his age up until this past month. Gordon is slowly coming back but is still nowhere near the player he once was - he's getting huge minutes. Morris was the only player besides Kyrie that was playing fantastic basketball earlier in the season but now he's hit a wall hard.
I'm pretty sure Greg was intending to be critical of 2K and not Steve, not that it really excuses the tone.
I would encourage everyone to read their posts out loud before hitting "submit".
People still hate my *** because I was a young savage 10-15 years ago. Nobody cares what your message is if you sound like an A-hole.

92-93 is essentially where Kyrie should be based on his production. 25 PER for a shooting PG with average defense is basically in line with what Damian Lillard has been doing the last couple years and he's been in this range the whole time.
Do you have any specific attributes that need addressing?

I'm not saying he should have any specific rating, I'm just questioning why he is being lowered when he has actually improved across the board on offense and defense. I'm just nitpicking because it is annoying seeing his ratings drop when he has been the sole bright spot on the court all year for Boston, despite the media shenanigans.
I've actually been using your rosters whenever I jump on 2K19 and I much prefer your approach to ratings than the official roster. I just wish you'd edit tendencies as well but that might be a huge task to do both by yourself.

I edit tendencies. At the current stage of the game I'm adjusting tendencies moreso than ratings because the data is more useful in the latter stages of the season.
With 60+ games done most OVRs shouldn't be moving very much with only a month left. It'll mostly be the younger players on lottery teams that get an extended look and double their sample.

Oh that's what I get for assuming. You do any playbook edits?
Speaking about tendency, how is possible Luka Doncic with 0 in step back three?!? :brickwall
I played against him and he played very well expecially in passing vision (11 assist) but obviously he didn't take any stepback in general.
Come on 2K, update that data.

Really wish 2K would edit tendencies and not just the attributes. Tendencies affect the player just as much as attributes
They need to change the one that controls spotup 3PT shooting badly. This is beating a dead horse, but nothing is worse than passing the ball to a player on the wing or while running a fastbreak, and they dart into the paint at the last possible moment.

Something like this I simply can't understand at all. There is no rational reason that I can think of that would have a decision maker say, "don't fix this". It makes my head hurt.

This...I can't stand that. And they'll do it even if they were gonna be wide open in the corner smh.
    jk31
I don't think this has something to do with tendencies, as all players seem to cut to the hoop in stupid moments.
It does. Coach2K noticed that the tendecy which controls spotup shooting was much lower than NBA 2K18. I actually changed it for my offline roster.
Still can't believe how big of a joke 2K's roster "updates" are.
Yay, Giannis is a 96, but seriously...which of his attributes changed? And why does he still have 70 strength. His whole season has been him steamrolling through people to the rim.
LeBron's playing the worst defense of his career but still has 89 on-ball defense IQ (the same as Marcus Smart). He still has Gold Pick Dodger even though he literally just dies on screens these days, and 90 help defense even though he only actually plays help D like half the game now. Not to mention he still has silver Silver Defensive Stopper and Bronze Rim Protector (why did he ever even have Rim Protector??)
Kawhi still has HOF Defensive Stopper and 97 on-ball defense even though his defense hasn't been at that level since like 2015.
Pau Gasol has 72 on-ball defense even though he is basically a turnstill now. Meanwhile guys that I can think of that seem like good defenders and still have poor defensive attributes (Damyean Dotson, Aaron Gordon, Maxi Kleber, and especially Danuel House) haven't been touched all year. Heck, they're just now raising Derrick White's defense (still not high enough even IMO...DeRozan still has higher on-ball D...) and he's been the Spurs best defender all season.
Hot spots are still untouched. Tom Thibodeau is still the head coach of the Timberwolves.
    A joke.

Players will cut to the rim when left open - regardless of what their tendency is.
    keshunleon
LeBron has not been playing good defense for three years but he still has really good defense attributes.
Not to mention he gets tired but no change.

You beat me to the punch I came here to ask the same thing , it must be a biased towards him he shouldn’t even be rated a 97 his defense is below sub par
Just a quick example... They’ve still got Giannis as a SF but everyone knows Middleton is the starting SF and Giannis is PF, but if they change it he drops -4 OVR and what else ratings wise can they bump up to make him a 96 again 🤔
    Rashidi
That tendency was updated across the board.

Recently? I know that it was globally edited from NBA 2K18 to NBA 2K19, but did they change it again? I haven't checked it since October.

LeBron only mailed it in on defense last season (and only during the regular season; he was elite in the playoffs). He ranks 5th among SFs in DRPM.
The Lakers are losing because their offense is trash as LeBron has no help or shooters, not because of any defensive woes.

I mean I have Giannis 95/PF in my roster so it's definitely possible.

If we're talking Spotup 3pt, it definitely changed within the last two months. As was stated earlier, 2K marketing doesn't really announce these things, they're a separate department.

what ? Have you been seeing his on
Ball defense ? it’s bad he’s 40th in the league in the defense win share rating category, you can pluck any kind analytic now a days

    1. 40th in the league (500 players) is a bad ranking? Serious question.
    2. Defensive Win Shares don't measure ability..... David Lee lead the Knicks in DWS in 2009 and he was unequivocally one of their worst defensive players. Conversely, Bruce Bowen's career high 4.6 DWS in 2004 ranked FOURTH on the Spurs, well behind the almighty Rasho Nesterovic (5.6) and barely ahead of "stalwart" Hedo Turkoglu (4.5).
It's a stat that looks solely at box score stats (rebs/blks/stls, opponent points, minutes, etc) and converts it into a rating. It isn't an "analytic" in any sense of the word.
I might be the only one. I still think Spencer Dinwiddle isn't good enough in this game. Especially when it comes to finishing at the rim. I never knew he was number 2 in iso's in the NBA.

A majority of players don't play like themselves or aren't able to be played like themselves. People like Justice Winslow and Kelly Olynyk aren't too useful in this game.

This! Dude is nice, especially finishing at the rim like you said. He just iso's and blows right by guys like nothing and even if he doesn't fully get past a guy, his length still allows him to get to the rim. He's also a pretty decent passer. As far as attributes go, I think his driving layup should be higher...at least an 87-90. And for badges, acrobat should be upgraded to gold and bronze lob city passer added. Just my 2 cents.

Is it specifically their athleticism and/or ball handling ratings that are out of wack? Or something else?

Your an NYC guy right? Spencer gets a lot fouls and ISO **** ton. I would think either his finishing or handle would be up. But at this point. He's basically a second rate back from 2 years ago.

With these adjustments, Spencer would be golden imo...
    Attributes
    Driving Layup: +8 from 82 to 90
    Draw Foul: +10 from 61 to 71
    Speed: +3 from 77 to 80
Speed with Ball: +2 from 82 to 84
    Acceleration: +1 from 79 to 80
    Badges
    Upgrade Acrobat to Gold
    Add Bronze Lob City Passer

Just the feel of them. Winslow feels very stiff and robotic. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it feels like I'm controlling a big. He doesn't feel like a dynamic wing player. Olynyk isn't athletic. He isn't an ankle breaker or anything. IRL, he's able to create plays for himself and others because of his craftiness. I just feel like I can't do that with him in 2K. Even Bam Adebayo. He brings the ball up court sometimes and he looks smooth doing it. In 2k, it's more robotic.
Disclaimer : I'm terrible at explaining things, so I do apologize if you don't get what I'm trying to say. Here are some highlights that I feel can't be replicated in 2k. BTW, this isn't my way of asking for rating increases or saying these players are underrated. Because they're not doing anything too amazing. I just think the way these players play, just to name a few, isn't a way that can be replicated in 2k.
