On another note, this may be the best looking screenshot. This is beautiful
I'm shocked that his rating is a 73, though. I would think a fringe player like him - that couldn't gain minutes above Garrett Temple, Buddy Heild and Aron Afflalo - is more deserving of a 68 - 70 rating.

Probably to show that even lower level, former lottery pick guys like B-Mac got some graphical love this year too.
It's one thing to have the stars looking great. It's another thing to have 73 overall guys looking amazing.

You know what 23 you caught me slipping, damn this has been a long off-season lol
Wow, to this point I thought his body model looked good but comparing it to 2k18 it looks more like Big Baby body
Maybe to show that they re-done everyones face, even the lesser known people?
:y220:
I agree. All of the pics released after those first 3 have looked so much better. Not sure if it's the sweat/shine on their face or what.
Can't fault it. Seems to be a common theme this year which is simply a delight.
I think this one is a product of Ronnie getting the player to produce the pic (Nick Young was aswell I think).
I haven't seen the Grizz jersey unveiled. But perhaps it has been?
Meh.... either way. They keep putting out great pics, who cares why?
So glad they've done away with the fat shoulders and wide lats.
Would still like to see more body types tho. All of these look pretty much the same to me.
Was thinking this.
Is there a chance we're being Ubisoftened?
:)
The area around the eyes is so lifelike now

Lol I hope not eventho Ubisoft usually gets worse visually while these 2k screens seem to be getting better, but like someone else said it could be the lack of sweat in those first 3 pics that makes them look off compared to recent pics.

B-Mac looked like he ate too many cupcakes in 2k17.
Never been an accessory or jersey snob, but jerseys and their respective color looks on point this year. The colors are crisp and bold, and has a high definition look. The jersey folds are looking natural. Looks like the "stitching" is more realistic.
Just looking at the comparison screen grab, 2k17 memphis grizzly jersey looks like a replica down at Marshalls, TJmax, or Ross (nothing against these stores, I shop there first when I need clothing attire), while 2k18's jersey looks like something available at the NBA official store.
2k18 better shoulder angles. 2k17's shoulders were too sloped downward while 2k14's shoulders were too boxy as if everyone was doing trap raises.
Despite the Mclamore's pose, I can tell the shoulders are better modeled this year. 2k17, all shoulders had such a large downward slope while 2k14 models had such high boxy shoulders (as if everyone were doing trap raises). I skipped 2k15, but with 2k16 I like the more softness and realistic roundness and proper slope to the shoulders that better reflects their true on the court in game appearance.
Props to the art team this year (but side remark: didn't really like Dwight Howard's screenshot. Only mentioning this because I believe 2k tries to read everything on this message board. His wing span looks too short ; didn't look as "realistic" as the other screenshots as far as body proportions or lighting is concerned.
Solid work.
