WWE 2K26 looks to have improved in a lot of ways. The game delivers on all fronts: physics-driven chaos, faction entrances, Showcase epics, and some major improvements to Universe Mode. My Rise is also interesting this year, with The Comeback story being surprisingly engaging. As The Archetype, you can navigate through the matches in MyRise, and the redemption arc branches through various decisions.
There’s so much to talk about with MyRise, and we’ll be getting into just that. It jumps up a level compared to last year’s edition as it ditches the marathon grinds and shifts to replayability with division-exclusive unlocks. On the surface, there are deeper choices and a richer roster, but there are also some caveats. Let’s take a look at how MyRise works in WWE 2K26 and whether it’s worth your time.
What Is MyRise In WWE 2K Games?

To truly understand MyRise, you have to get an idea of its core concept. This is one of WWE 2K’s single-player modes, where you create a custom Superstar and play out your journey to reach WWE stardom through complicated but interesting decisions. You build your wrestler using Create-A-Superstar (CAS) tools and customize everything from looks to personality.
The core gameplay centers on decisions that shape alliances, rivalries, championship chases, and off-ring events like media scrums or faction wars. MyRise looks to hook players with high replayability and varied choices and paths, making sure no two saves are the same.
MyRise is a totally different experience compared to other game modes. For example, Universe Mode has a God-mode roster simulator for booking full shows, but no personal protagonist. Similarly, Showcase gives you the ability to relive real legends’ careers through historical matches.
Everything New In WWE 2K26 MyRise

There’s a lot that’s new in MyRise this year, such as The Comeback Story Premise. Create your custom superstar who returns after a two-year hiatus and faces a major title loss that branches into men’s or women’s paths. Next up is the RISE matches integration, which replaces old side quests with star-rated Live Events, which you complete for rewards, career development, and performance tracking.
Another improvement this year is the reduced grind. Compared to 2K25’s multiple playthrough requirement, this year, there is one playthrough with streamlined progression. The ability to play endlessly this year is great. After winning or losing the title, you can opt to defend indefinitely via RISE matches.
If we talk about the rewards and unlocks in MyRise, the first key thing to note is that VC is not required for MyRise unlocks, contrary to many beliefs. MyRise has its own primary progression currency, which you can earn per RISE Match. Apart from this, there are story chapter unlocks, which include attires, weapons, and even arenas.
Other rewards include MyFaction Cards, Paybacks, CAS parts, and weapons. Some of these are even Division-exclusive to add to the replay value. You can even earn RXP, which is attribute XP. This is earned per chapter and can be spent on upgrades like your Superstars Overall Rating.
