Myles Turner is seemingly letting his true feelings about Tyrese Haliburton be known, and the people are shocked. A few days ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks going up against the Indiana Pacers this weekend, Turner has fired some veiled shots at his former teammate.
Even though Turner isn’t beyond trash-talking, many fans were surprised to see him aim at Haliburton, especially considering they seemed to be close. The Bucks’ Big man appeared for an interview this week on Thanalysis for a conversation with another teammate, Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
The two covered a range of topics that included Haliburton’s attitude on the basketball court. It seems that Turner isn’t amused or intimidated by Haliburton’s tendency to troll the opposition. The Bucks player pointed out that the Pacers star knows he’s protected and can play it all off to act tough. However, he then claimed Haliburton isn’t going to be pulling any of those stunts outside the court.
“Tyrese also knows he’s protected, too,” said Turner. “So, he can go out there, talk his s—, say whatever the hell he wants to do, and he knows he has backup at the end of the day. Now, he’s not going to be talking the same s— if you’re in the middle of the street. That’s what guys don’t do in this league.”
Turner Claimed Haliburton Is Protected
Myles Turner isn’t afraid of speaking against anyone he finds a problem with. It seems he found one with Tyrese Haliburton as well, before he steps on the court against him and his team this weekend. Even though the Bucks star didn’t outright say that his ex-teammate fakes acting tough, he certainly implied the same thing.
It seems that Turner has an issue with the Pacers star being protected and made his feelings clear that he doesn’t appreciate any guys like this in the league. However, it should be noted that before he started this storm of controversy with his unfiltered words, he did have positive things to say about his former teammate.
He praised Haliburton for his professionalism and admired his dedication to his family. It seems he also liked the time he spent with him as teammates. Turner had been teammates with Haliburton in the Indiana Pacers for four total seasons. However, in a surprise move, Turner chose to sign with the Pacers’ rivals, the Milwaukee Bucks, this summer.
His Words Seems To Have Annoyed NBA Fans And Started A New Beef
Myles Turner rarely ever minces his words and seemed to be getting a lot of attention now because of it. The Milwaukee Bucks player has seemingly annoyed a bunch of NBA fans with his recent words. The clip of him calling out Haliburton for being a fake tough guy is making the rounds on social media.
It seems that fans are quite surprised that Turner has turned his back on his former team. This looks like it might be the start of a brand new rivalry for this season. It certainly looks like there’s going to be no love lost between the two ahead of their game this weekend.
