Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 2 Announced - Trailer, Screenshots & Details

Milestone and Feld Entertainment, Inc. have announced Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC/STEAM and Nintendo Switch on Feb. 8, 2019.

In this new release, players will step into the boots of an official Supercross Champion and experience the exciting life of a professional athlete in the most competitive and highest profile off-road motorcycle racing championship in the world.

The new edition puts players at the center of the game with a renewed career mode, enhanced track editor, additional training compounds and improved playability:

  • A new “career” mode.To become a real professional racer, being fast on the track is not enough, you must increase your fame and conquer fans’ hearts to attract the biggest sponsors, while managing media relations and rivalries with other racers. New features include an agenda full of events and activities to improve your racing skills on four new tracks. The life of a real Supercross Champion isn’t just at the races!
  • Your face, your style, your track. Every rider has their own style, both on and off the track. That’s why customization reaches a new level in Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2. Players will be able to make their racer unique, thanks to more than 3,000 customizable items, from physical appearance to the long list of accessories to wear during races. On the track, there’s more than 300 customizable mechanical parts to always find the right feeling with the bike. The highly-appreciated Track Editor returns, enhanced with a lot of new features for players to create their own track to challenge and share online with the community.
  • Challenge the top athletes from the 2018 season. There are more than 80 official racers from the 2018 season with some of the most famous such as reigning 450SX Class champion, Jason Anderson, and Marvin Musquin and, for the first time making his appearance in the videogame, Eli Tomac; all of the riders have been accurately reproduced, thanks to a renewed face scanning technology. The 17 tracks available at launch, including the new NRG and Raymond James stadiums, fully recreate the innovative track designs and incredible atmosphere of a Supercross race, including its renowned fireworks and TV-styled replay cameras set inside the most recognizable and prestigious stadiums in America.
  • A new gameplay experience. The development teamworked hard to deliver a more realistic and accessible gameplay experience. Thanks to the new Advanced Inertial Responseand Real Terrain Collision technologies, bike control is now more accurate and realistic, both on track and in the aerial phase. Moreover, the new Dynamic Flow Aid helps player to always find the ideal trajectory to jump and land.

  1. Nice update Steve...Thanks.
Glad to see Tomac this time around.
Wish they would have 2019 tracks as weekly DLC like MX vs. ATV did a couple years ago.

Added some screenshots and some details.

Wow!! Thanks for the added info. This sounds like it's going to be great. One thing I can say about Milestones MX games , each one they put out is much better than the last. Another day one purchase for me.
Ok I’m trying out play station vue for a month. Last night it recorded the monster energy cup. I’m about to watch the first race, Villapoto is back.

"Man! I am so excited for Monster Energy Supercross! -- said no one ever.

If your not into the sport why waste time with foolish posts?
Im so excited for Schrankwand to post his opinion...........said no one ever.
Can someone please delete that post ?
2019 season is going to be a great one.
I'm a bit bummed that they took St Louis off the schedule this year....were having to road trip to Indy this year instead.
JMD any thoughts on the move to NBC Sports this year ?
I went ahead and bought the NBC GOLD for both SX and Outdoor for 89 bucks.
Looks like 10 races are not live this year and you need gold to watch practice this year.

I didn't realize they made the move. I'm hoping I can find it on the internet for free some place. I got rid of Directv. I watched the MX races the next day on You Tube. If I can't find it I may do what you did.
Or I may keep PlayStation Vue , I got that for football.
Awesome!!! I had no idea a 2nd was coming out so soon!
I didnt purchase the first game, but I'm definitely getting this Day 1!
Is there a list of the riders confirmed for the game? Just want to know if all the big stars are in.

Looks like Tomac is in this year so no worries there :)
He was the one main guy that wasn't in the game last time around.

    Ok awesome!
Just wanted to be sure all the major names are in.
It’s so cool you can pick a professional dude for ur career, can’t wait to play with KRoc!

I had not seen anything about 94 not being in the game.
He was in it last year.
He also played the game and made several tracks that he posted online.
    Seems very odd.
Just pre ordered the digital special edition...here's some text I copied from that purchase.
Preorder the Special Edition now and get the full game and the Season Pass with 9 DLCs, the Credits Multiplier, two rider customization sets, the Dynamic Theme and the exclusive Early Access to access content 3 days before release!
I'm with you that number caught my eye as well.
My guess based on zero information is that it will be a combination of a few tracks like energy cup for example and some updated gear sets.
Some 2019 tracks would be amazing however based off the current business model of an annual release with the prior year bikes and tracks I'm not holding my breath.
My dream would be a classic add on with RC/McGrath/JS7 etc and some throwback SX tracks.
There has to be more to the story.
He was in the game last season and actually played it and built and uploaded tracks and promoted that fact on his social media page.
It's no way near a deal breaker that he's not in it but it would have been nice to have all the top guys.

Yeah most of his tracks were nice too.
The Dev's announced on Facebook that they have got 4 people to compete in a You Tube Track creation contest. Not sure how they selected them , looks like is based on viewer ship as they all have in the neighborhood of a million subscribers but none of them are known established track creators. We will see how it goes I guess.

I'm getting psyched for the release , just trying to decide if I'm going to get the Standard or premium version and what console to get it for. The 3 days early thing has me thinking premium but I also want to get R.E. 2 today so saving that $30.00 will be helpful. Probably go with the PS4 I've been on the Xbox one X a lot lately and I miss my PS4 lol.
I went with premium on ps4.
Due to the fact that there seems to be a decent schedule of dlc coming for the game and I like the PS4 controller better.
I wish they would have a "create a rider" feature or let you edit existing rider names/etc.
It's like the old days in NBA live when there was no MJ or Chuck in the game.
This feature would be great to add some of the privateers to the game as well to round out the roster.
On the plus side the track editor looks much improved this year.
So the voting for the "track contest" is today.
I just went on instagram and checked them out.....Looks like none of them have ever watched a supercross race based on the layouts they put together.
They were good sports about it and tried...feel like it would have been better to offer this opportunity to lets say the top 4 downloaded track makers from the first game.
I’m on the fence about pre-ordering, just disappointed about Roczen.
He’s my boy and I was really looking forward to doing a career with him.

Name your career rider Ken Roczen and put him on a Honda...wont be perfect but it will fill the void...I did that with Tomac last year.
He's one of my favorite guys as well and I'm bummed he's not in the game but during the races I wont notice his absence on the track that much
