MLB The Show 26: Ranked 2 Rewards Revealed

New goodies!

The grind for the World Series just got a lot more interesting in MLB The Show 26. San Diego Studios has officially pulled back the curtain on the Ranked 2 program rewards. For those of you who manage to cross the 900-rating threshold, or grin out the program stars, the choice at the end is not far off from a Sophie’s Choice scenario for Diamond Dynasty squads.

The two prestigious rewards available in the Ranked 2 program are Trea Turner and Christian Yelich. Both cards present the diamond players with an overall rating of 92. The Ranked World Series Choice reward and the elite Ranked 1000 Choice reward feature the same players, but the Ranked 1000 version features the prestige card art.

The biggest hurdle is that once you do reach that point, you have to choose between the two cards, as you can only pick one reward from the program.

A Tough Choice For Your Lineup

No matter which card you end up going with, you should fare well in both scenarios. Both of these players have great stats. Trea Turner might just be the gold standard for middle infielders in The Show 26. He has elite speed and a glitchy swing that almost always seems to outproduce his power attributes.

On the flip side, Christian Yelich brings that smooth, left-handed stroke that haunts the best of pitches. Historically, Yelich cards in the ranked program boast elite contact and a powerful swing with stellar exit velocities. This is true against both lefties and righties. However, Milwaukee fans might be a bit upset with the artwork, which shows off his old Miami Marlins kit.

If your team is lacking a speed threat who can play shortstop or second base, Turner is the move. But if you need a middle-of-the-order bat to anchor your outfield, Yelich is nearly impossible to pass up. Again, both of them are great choices, and the card art for both players is spectacular.

If you’re just getting started in Diamond Dynasty, consider reading our beginner’s guide on the matter to instantly improve at the game. Whatever your level may be, the grind is now on for these two cards.
