Much like with the May Monthly Awards, SDS decided to give out the entire June Monthly Awards in MLB The Show 20 today. With no season going on still, SDS continued to pull from the backlog of prior award winners from June who had been in previous versions of the series. SDS basically has the last three Show games to look back through in order to come up with a list of players, which this month is headlined by Cody Bellinger from June 2017.
A decent amount of people had been sleuthing and deciphering the potential options ahead of the release of these programs, and they do that in order to make stubs in the community market as folks then rush to buy up players to complete certain collection missions. Those investors are probably a little surprised there’s no Paul Goldschmidt (Bellinger was selected over him) and there was no Oakland Athletics selected as there were multiple options from prior games.
