J.D. Martinez has replaced Gold Glove Yadier Molina in Headliners packs today. Headliners Set 37 J.D. Martinez is a 96 overall.
The perk with this Silver Slugger J.D. Martinez card is obviously the nutty hitting stats. He especially flourishes against right-handed pitching with 116 contact and 113 power. He has 119 contact vs. left-handed pitching to go with 97 power. With 125 clutch on top of that, his hitting is certifiable.
Of course, Martinez is a disaster in the corner outfield spots so you have to take the good and the bad with all J.D. cards. I imagine he ends up as a bench bat for these reasons, but no one can deny the appeal of his swing.
