Madden NFL 23 Skilled Based Passing & Improved Defensive Coverage Breakdown (via @EricRayweather)

EA sent over some exclusive Madden NFL 23 gameplay clips to Eric Rayweather and he cut them all up and posted a video breaking down the new Skill Based Passing and defensive coverage changes.

He touches on the free-form reticle speed slider and a slowdown feature that will be available for offline play only. It will allow users to slow the game down to place the reticle at the exact position much easier. Newbies can use the technique to get better at skill based passing prior to going online. Of course the new passing system can be turned off completely if it’s not something you’re into. Eric also highlights the improved defense, more specifically hitting on zone coverages, route specific break on throw logic, DB reaction time, better animations on specific battles and much more.
