  1. last year i get bored  on the first day that was free to play let see this year how long takes, I cant believe there people spending money on this game   and I was a fan of Madden since the 2005 edition  but this last 6-7 years  oh lord you can play for longer cause is the same, 0 game logic  0 sim football is all visuals and hype staff
This doesn't apply to the blind haters, but anyone with an open mind & a Next Gen console should give the game a try. It's a ton of fun. And it's free.
It's Madden so if you're looking for flaws you'll find them, but if you're looking for a much improved game with a deeper franchise you're gonna find that too.

Is it a deeper franchise? The coaching carousel dont really work right and the progressive fatigue is…well u know. Also the bengals and chargers still drafting qbs in the first rd. Its not much improved IMO. Slightly tweaked is what i would call it
I'll download when I get home.
I haven't bought a Madden game since Madden 25 on the PS3 (because draft upload from NCAA 14).
I've played the trials and BETAs over the years but have never enjoyed it enough to pick up. Although 10 hour trials are nice its tough for someone to get a full grasp on the game that hasn't played it on a regular basis for several years as I spend most of my time trying to learn the controls and be familiar with them. :google:
So being able to sit down with the game for a few days without worry of running out of time will allow me to see if its time to get back into Madden/NFL football games.
So the PC free trial is through Steam and not through Origin? I don't know why I care since I have it on PS5 but being a diehard PC Madden player for the last 3 years has me curious to check it out on PC and see what changes there have been. Maybe I should just leave the past in the past. :)
Seriously miss modding and some of the "under the hood" tweaks you could do even when full on modding didn't work on Madden 21/22. To be able to tweak some AI elements was nice and could fix some glaring issues that we are dealing with on Next Gen.
Anyway....I cosign on Madden 22 Next Gen along with everyone else. It has "improved" but you have to play it "and" give it some time to realize the subtle improvements that add up to a much better experience.

When the scouting update is ready, it's going to feel night and day. People underestimate how huge a thing scouting is in Franchise.
^^ Assuming we don't have the same lame three letter grades for every player.

Scouting update would be nice but that doesn't have any impact on the gameplay.
Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying Madden but I"m not going to play the game more because of the scouting update.
I'm going to play the game if they smooth out some of these issues doing actual gameplay.
I would imagine a person who's trying to make a purchase decision doing the free trial period is going to make that decision off actual gameplay right now on the field.
Just go to the regluar game and there should be a price on it. Click three dots and it gives you option ''Download free trial''.
I'm DL it now, will give it a try at least on PS5

    i support this statement
Yes it’s in the PS store click to dots and click on free trail. I’ve been playing all afternoon.
It’s a free trail can’t see why you would give it a spin if you didn’t already by the game.

These are the littles things I wish Sony would fix on the Ps5 so people can find things easier.

Sony messed a few things with the last update of PS store a few years ago, yes.

The condition Madden is in it should always be free to play. Maybe they can do seasons like Cod.

lol making Madden more like COD is going to improve the condition the game is in? Have you played COD recently?
Seems like they would fix the Series X glitch before doing this.. Whatever. I'm super disappointed that EA won't acknowledge this issue with series x Consoles shutting down
Does anyone know how to download the free trial on xbox?
I clicked on the Sponsered advertisement for it, went to the store, searched for it manually, and all I see is options to buy it. Nothing about a free trial, unless you have EA Play.
Haven’t bought Madden in a few years but downloaded the trial to see how franchise is, I’m wondering if there is a specific roster I should use for CFM or is default pre-season the way to go if I don’t plan on skipping to Week 1? Also curious about the scouting update and where I can find any info on that

There hasn’t been any additional information about the scouting update since the stream they did a couple months ago. But if you want an idea of where it’s probably heading in the future, this is probably a good map:
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nriQyWzNRdE
Some things similar to what’s in this video seem to be making it in. But probably not all of it, and it probably won’t all be the same. There will definitely be regional scouts, but how they will work is still a mystery.
I was holding out until the scouting update. I'm currently playing the free trial right now and enjoying it. This is the first time playing on Next-Gen (PS5), so the graphics and movements have been so much smoother. Not sure if it's worth $60 in its current form, but there's plenty of fun to be had here at $30-$40, and when it gets down to that price point, I'll pull the trigger.
Glad I got to try it out at least!!
Yesterday I loaded the game up and literally ended up closing it in 10 minutes  and went right back to Madden 21. It looks and feels the exact same. I would only buy this game for $10 bucks but if you have a PS5 maybe its worth it.
Honestly I don't like the graphics. Ugh. Got spoiled by better looking games. And it isn't my tv, because my PC stuff looks phenomenal on it. The lighting just isn't that good, and the only way to improve the pop is to change the in-game contrast, which for some reason increases saturation too.

Not sure where to post this, but in case people haven't seen it, Madden 22 is 30% off inside Madden 21. Just picked it up for $44.92 w/ tax.

Make sure you buy the right version, or end up like me getting a refund and then being unable to buy the game at all
