Madden NFL 21 Next-Gen Patch Available Now, Fixes Lighting Issues in Certain Stadiums

A small next-gen Madden NFL 21 patch is available now for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S gamers. The highlight of the update is how quickly the lighting issue was fixed in FirstEnergy and State Farm Stadiums, home of the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals, respectively.

Here are some updated screenshots from a snow game at night and a standard night game. The improvements are obvious.

  1. Happy Birthday to me!! I'm a Browns fan and I am loving this fix. Has anyone downloaded it yet? Is it live?
Also....went to the EA forum to read and man people are harsh. People ripping EA for not fixing the defensive issues we are seeing. I posted a thanks on there since I honestly prefer they fix little easy things and release them in a timely manner rather than making us wait until there is a larger patch encompassing many bug fixes that could take weeks to complete.
Great! Now if they could fix their collision detection post play with players constantly clipping through each other's body parts, stepping through bodies on the ground, rolling through lineman's legs, etc. it would stop me from turning the game off every time I play it...
Now they need to fix coverage and zone stuff......watching my safeties and LB's watch receivers run rampant is getting old already (Next Gen)

    Yuuuppppppppp
So glad the lighting bugs are fixed. Hopefully zone next. Just please don't touch player movement unless it's small tweaks to make it better and not make it like last-gen.
Just watched someone on Youtube talk about the patch and he was bitching about player movement and how it's impossible to make cuts or change direction. And that the ball carriers take too long to get to top speed.
This is called realistic football. That taking to long to get to top speed is called acceleration. No player goes from standing still to top speed instantly even if they run a 4.4 40.

Unless you’re Tyreke Hill. Seriously tho I agree. Movement is one of the best things maddens done in awhile (hopefully they keep going with it) I also love how it makes players like Hill etc feel more special.

Is it me or the patch hasn’t been released yet for XBox Series X? I didnt have an update available last night.

I got it, should be 1.0.0.10.
Patch added the kicking glitch back in!!! Now I can’t punt on All Madden again. It was totally fine before this!!
Damn. I was actually enjoying the game. Today it felt a little like the PS4 garbage again. I really hope it was just a bad game on my part.
