A lot of the focus in this update centers around gameplay. Goalies have been improved, pass animations are quicker and players should notice smoother control after catch animations. Ball speed was slightly increased while overall player speed was lowered a bit to help matches feel more balanced. The AI also received some tuning, including better fast break defense, smarter shot selection with more far pipe attempts and quicker clears from goalies after saves.

The update also introduces new difficulty levels with easy, medium and hard settings, giving players more options depending on how challenging they want games to feel. Camera offsets were adjusted as well to improve visibility and several broadcast camera issues were cleaned up.

The patch fixes a variety of issues tied to overtime, faceoffs, Franchise Mode customization, stat screens, checks, achievements and shot clock runouts. The update also addresses a bug that could cause the ball to randomly pop loose after faceoffs along with a few visual fixes like helmet chin guard colors.
