Kayla Nicole has finally spoken up about her alleged diss at Taylor Swift on Halloween. Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend has been making a lot of headlines lately and not for the right reasons. She’s currently facing a lot of backlash from the Swifties, who clearly didn’t like her from the start.
The famous social media personality had Swift’s fanbase, especially with her costume on Halloween. Nicole had shared a reel on her Instagram account that showed her dressed up as Toni Braxton on Halloween. She danced on to the lyrics from the iconic song ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ that include “Do you know he begged to stay with me? He wasn’t man enough for me.”
This sent the Swifties into a meltdown, who took it as a subtle dig towards Swift and Kelce. However, Nicole has now set the record straight about the Instagram reel. She addressed on The Pre-Game podcast that she dressed up as Braxton because she’s been a fan of her for a long time. She didn’t mean it to be a jab at the ‘Cardigan’ singer.
Halloween is an opportunity for me not to be myself and to dress up as someone that I admire, someone that I’ve been a fan of, someone that I think is a chef’s kiss,” Nicole said “You guys don’t want celebrities to dress up as celebrities.”
She Claimed She Wasn’t Trying To Tear Down Swift
Nicole has finally cleared the air about the alleged dig towards Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. While the hate from Swift’s fanbase is currently ongoing, she’s done her part to set the record straight.
The former ESPN analyst claimed that she’s allowed to dress as another celebrity. Nicole is trying to get the fans to understand that it was only meant to be like any other costume on Halloween.
She further stated that she’s confused about what she’s supposed to do if she can’t dress as another celebrity. Nicole also claimed that she’s not in the business of trying to tear down other women, which clearly refers to Swift herself.
“But I’m confused because what am I supposed to do? A doctor? Superwoman? (Those) trying to project their own narratives, I’m not in the business of tearing other women down. I am in the business of celebrating them.” Nicole said.
