John Cena Makes History As A Grand Slam Champion. But Not Everyone In WWE Is Celebrating The Icon’s Achievement

John Cena has made history as the Grand Slam Champion but not every WWE star is cheering him on.

John Cena has made history once again in his final run with the WWE. The Cenation Leader turned up on Monday Night RAW for action in his hometown of Boston one last time. He faced off against Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.

It was a high-paced affair with a crowd that was on fire for both stars. The Judgment Day member gave it his all against Cena, but it wasn’t enough to put him down. The Never Seen 17 defeated him in the end to win the IC Championship for the first time in his career.

After this win over Mysterio, Cena has now finally become a Grand Slam Champion. The crowd cheered on loudly for him. Many stars were waiting for him backstage to congratulate him. However, not everyone in WWE was so happy for him. Some took their chance to quickly call Cena out, such as his longtime rival, The Miz. The Double Grand Slam Champion said that when he wins the ‘The Last Time Is Now’ tournament, he’s coming to take the IC title from Cena.

“Took ya long enough. You finally did it. Grand Slam Champion, congrats, but here’s the thing. You won the title I made prestigious. Which means when I win this tournament, I’m not just winning gold… I’m restoring legacy. #MizVsCena”

Cena Defeated Dominik Mysterio On Raw To Become The IC Champion

John Cena keeps making history, and he didn’t stop even in his final run with the WWE. He took the challenge against Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Champion. In his 23-year career with the company, the IC Championship had evaded him until now.

The match between Cena and Mysterio was a trailblazing one to watch. Both opponents had great chemistry in the ring. The match reached its boiling point as Mysterio had Cena down after a 619. However, even after hitting his signature frog splash, the Cenation Leader powered through and hit him with the Attitude Adjustment to capture the IC title.

The crowd erupted for their hero as the bell rang. The crowd was genuinely happy to see the 17-time World Champion finally win the IC belt for the first time. Many stars were also quite happy for him and gave him a round of applause backstage.

Cena Has Three Dates Left Now

John Cena has only three dates left now in his run with the WWE. After this match with Dominik Mysterio, the crowd is going to see him three more times until he leaves the ring forever. Cena has claimed that the fans aren’t going to see him after his final match, and he plans to stick to his word.

Cena’s final match with the company is set to happen on December 13, at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, DC. A tournament is currently taking place to determine the final opponent in his last match. Perhaps, we might see The Miz get in the ring with Cena as well, if he’s lucky.
