Jillian Michaels Responds To Backlash Over Team USA’s Hockey Celebration, And Says Something Many Won’t Dare Say

And the controversy continues...

The USA’s hockey team recently won the Olympic final against the Canadian team for the first time since the 1980s, but their historic success has been marred by the online controversy surrounding them and the government. After their win, Donald Trump invited the men’s team on a call, during which he made questionable remarks about the women’s team that sparked controversy and prompted the opposition to call the hockey team out for going to the White House. But now the media personnel seem to be supporting the hockey team.

Per Fox News, Jillian Michaels called out the far-left media for trying to go after these national heroes who won the medal for their country. Jillian Michael declared that no one on the team said anything anti-American. It is wrong to force these fellows to give any opinion on the matter. She declared that even if the far left were in the office and made a call inviting anyone to celebrate America’s achievements, they should actually go.

Jillian Michael said, “There were just some incredibly heartfelt moments that made me proud to be American. The hockey team. Let’s talk about this for a second. These kids, both the boys and the girls, won the gold for America. Neither team said anything anti-American. It’s wrong that we put our athletes in a position to have to comment on this. I love the fact that Jack Hughes said for the men’s hockey team, like, we’re athletes. We’re not political. We’re proud to be American. We’re proud to play for America. And I saw so much pushback on social media from people on the far left.”

Players Faced Pressure To Reconsider White House Visit Stance

Jillian Michael’s comments may seem far-fetched, but the reality is that, under mounting pressure, players who went to the White House changed their views of the visit. Jeremy Swayman, the goalkeeper of the Olympic-winning team, seems to be reacting to the pressure and said they should have reacted differently to the invitation.

Jeremy, who plays for the Boston Bruins, said, “We should’ve reacted differently.” and also added, “We know that we’re so excited for the women’s team. We have so much respect for the women’s team, and to share that gold medal with them is something that we’re forever grateful for.”

Even though the Olympics have ended and the visit to the White House is over, the controversy continues. Notable personalities, including Megyn Kelly, have also broken their silence with similar remarks, which is keeping the heat constant.
