Jake and Logan Paul have built careers on doing things their own way. Boxing rings, wrestling ropes, sold-out arenas, and viral moments have become part of their brand. But inside that success story, their mother, Pam Stepnick, is dealing with a much simpler and more familiar feeling: worry.
In an interview with Page Six, Stepnick opened up about the physical risks her sons take every time they step into the ring or the wrestling spotlight. While she supports their ambition, she made it clear that watching them absorb real punishment has taken an emotional toll on her.
Jake And Logan Paul’s Mother Explains Why She Says ‘I Worry’ About Their Safety
Stepnick explained that her concern is rooted in seeing the physical consequences up close, especially when it comes to boxing. She said she was worried about Jake heading into his massive bout with Anthony Joshua, noting that he had “bit off a lot” before the fight. Watching it unfold left her emotionally shaken and praying for his safety.
That fear intensified when Jake was hospitalized after the bout and struggled to speak afterward, underscoring how severe the injuries were. Stepnick said the moment brought her “down on my knees,” unsure of how serious the damage might be. Jake later confirmed the extent of it, revealing he needed four titanium plates placed in his mouth and had some teeth removed.
Her worries extend just as much to Logan, particularly in the wrestling ring, where the margin for error can be thin. “When Logan gets up on those high ropes and you’re holding on to some other big guy, one slip and you can have a back or neck injury. I worry about that kind of stuff,” added Stepnick.
For her, those risks feel very real and very personal. Each fight or high-risk move serves as a reminder that one split-second mistake can alter everything, regardless of experience or preparation.
What The Ongoing Boxing And Wrestling Careers Mean For Their Long-Term Futures
Despite her concerns, Stepnick acknowledged that her sons are already thinking beyond boxing and wrestling and may not stay in combat sports much longer. She said that both Jake and Logan are actively preparing for life outside the ring and building other ventures alongside their fighting careers.
She said she personally imagines a future tied to sports ownership. “I personally picture them buying a sports team like football,” Stepnick said. “That’s my goal. And then I get to go to all the football games that I missed when they didn’t go to college! I’d like to be like Mama Kelce,” she added, referring to Donna Kelce, mother of NFL players Travis and Jason.
For her, that vision feels far more comforting. It reflects a hope that one day she can watch her sons from the stands instead of worrying from the sidelines, enjoying the games the way other sports parents do.
Stepnick closed on a deeply personal note. “I want the world to know that my boys are just regular people at the end of the day,” she said. “Not the crazy people that people see on the Internet. They’re just boys who want to be loved and appreciated and do their best.”
For all the spectacle surrounding their careers, her message lands simply. Behind the fame, the fights, and the viral moments, a mother is still hoping her sons come out healthy, grounded, and able to enjoy the lives they are working so hard to build.
